My Daycare Bag

Now that daycare is starting, mommy got my name embroidered on my bag so I have my very own special bag to bring with me to daycare.  I'm going to bring my special "bb", my binky, favorite blanket and of course my milk!  Mommy is so nervous to drop me off on Monday but I will make her proud and be a good girl!  I have become very attached to mommy and will miss her but she keeps telling me that we will have special time together at night and on the weekends.  Mommy and daddy also promised to take special days off to have "family fun days"!  I'm looking forward to those!

Family Portraits

A couple weeks ago, mommy thought it would be neat to have more "professional" pictures done instead of her taking them all the time. She also wanted to get an updated picture for our family wall so they dressed me up and kept their fingers crossed that I wouldn't cry for the entire time. I was in a good mood when we went in there but the lady taking our pictures did not understand how I operate and took way too much time setting up and getting me in position. I lasted long enough to get a few pictures of just me and a couple of our family but then I was ready to go home!  Daddy needed to take me outside to calm me down while mommy picked out the pictures.  I thought it was funny but mommy and daddy seemed a little uptight :-)

Big Girl Toys

I have been having so much fun this week!  I'm enjoying walks again and playing with lots of new toys!  I'm finally getting big enough to use some of the toys that have been sitting upstairs!  I'm still a little wobbly but I'm quickly figuring out what I need to do!

Surprise!

Lately I have been making all sorts of facial expressions that everyone seems to think is just so adorable!  Often mommy tries to take pictures of me smiling but by the time the camera takes the picture, it looks like I have been surprised instead!  Mommy giggles at the middle picture every time she looks at it!

My Week in Review

Now that mommy only has a couple weeks left before she has to return to work, we have been real busy getting things ready and visiting everyone!  We took all my stuff to daycare this week and met everyone who will be taking care of me while mommy and daddy work.  They had my crib ready and my name on the wall already!  I'm not so sure about this whole daycare thing but I think mommy is more upset than me!  For the first couple days, she promised to pick me up early since she will still have off.  Hopefully I like it there but it seems fun from what I saw when we visited!

My auntie Nicole visited me this weekend and brought me this cool zebra print stuff! She spoils me! Although I was unsure in the beginning of the evening, by the end, I was smiling and babbling along with mommy and auntie Nicole!

When grandma C. found out that mommy was pregnant, she bought me this musical doggie. Mommy used to sit in my nursery at night and play the doggie so I could listen to it in her womb. When I was first born, I didn't seem to recognize the music but within the last week, I have really taken to this cool doggie toy! I love to bite his ears as the music plays!

My aunt Nae is already beginning to teach me how to use the computer!  This is our favorite toy to play with and I just know that she will teach me all the cool stuff that a computer can do when I'm a little older!  I'm even luckier because my aunt Heather will be able to teach me how to use Mac computers and how to use all the artistic tools!  I'm bound to be a computer wiz and teach mommy and daddy something down the road!

The Christie Children

My doggie siblings have been moping around the house a lot lately so mommy has been trying to get them more involved.  Koda has been extra sad and seems to want to sleep upstairs on mommy & daddy's bed all day.  She has been doing "tricks & treats" with them everyday when I nap..this is when they all sit around her and she has them do tricks for small treats!  The doggies love it because when mommy says that it is time for "tricks & treats", the doggies come running from where ever they are!  Chloe has shown extra interest in me and my stuff.  She keeps finding places to curl up where I usually sit, play or where daddy feeds me!    This morning, I had mommy & daddy up at 5:30am so we took a walk bright and early as a family...all four doggies & me!  I enjoyed myself and just watched the houses go by!  Chloe gets to sit in the storage underneath my stroller since she refuses to walk and we don't want to leave her out of our family outings!  Daddy thinks it is silly but goes along with it to make mommy happy :-)

Watch Me Grow-3 months old!!

Mommy can't believe that I'm already 3 months old and that I will be starting daycare soon!  She is very sad that our time together during the day will be ending soon.  I'm feeling so much better than I was a month ago!  I now sleep through the night until about 6am each day!  I'm eating very well at about 6oz every 3 hours and am growing!  I now smile and coo but I do make you work for a smile...you have to be extra funny and silly for me to smile at you!  I am also starting to touch and grab more things!  I really enjoy this soft little bear that I have with me in the picture..we call him my "bb" (baby bear)!  Mommy noticed the other day that my feet are touching the end of the car seat!  Mommy and daddy also took the extra piece out of the pack-n-play because I was getting too big for it!  I'm still below the 50th percentile in height and weight but mommy and daddy say that it doesn't matter as long as I'm healthy...I'm just a little peanut!

When mommy was taking my picture this morning with pooh bear, my furry sister Maggie wanted to be included too!  She kept sitting next to pooh bear waiting for her picture to be taken too so mommy decided to take it!

Baptism: July 11, 2010

This weekend was very special because not only did I get to see a lot of my family but I was also baptized!  Mommy had my dress made by using the material from her wedding dress!  She thought for sure the dress was going to be huge when she picked it up a couple months ago but it turns out that I have grown so much, we couldn't even get the top button connected!  I was very hot in the dress but daddy did a great job calming me down so I didn't cry when the pastor was baptizing me.  He was so hot from trying to calm me down that he used my burp cloth to wipe the sweat off his face!  He is such a good daddy and I love him so much!  My aunt Nae is my godmother and she took great care of me too!  We had the whole family back to our house to celebrate after the ceremony!  What a great day!

Family Filled Weekend!

This has been a very busy weekend but lots of fun!  I got to see lots of my family..even my cousin Tyler, aunt Kimmy and uncle Justin from Florida!  Mommy and daddy would like to take me to visit them in Florida early next year when I get a little older!  I also finally met my great-grandma Jean!  It was so neat to get a picture of the 4 generations of females in our family!

I have been smiling so much more, using my hands to feel things and putting things to my mouth!  I was playing with my cousin's glow-worm the other night and had such a ball with it, grandma Christie and aunt Heather went out and bought me one!  I loved being with my family so much that I didn't want to nap this weekend!  At least I'm sleeping through the night most nights and even slept til 7am the other day!  Mommy and daddy were saying that they can't believe I will be 3 months this week!  It seems like just yesterday that they were bringing me home!

The 4th of July

Today was my first "official" holiday!  Grandma bought me a cool bib to wear that said "Baby's First 4th of July"!  I didn't go see fireworks this year since I am so little but next year will be lots of fun!  I don't seem to mind the noise so far but I have been inside and half asleep when they go off so late at night!

Disney Friends

For anyone that knows mommy and daddy, they are both Disney fans.  They have lots of Disney stuffed animals in my nursery but my favorite are Mickey and Minnie.  I love to stare at these guys for hours (not really hours but 10 minutes is long for me!).  The contrasting colors really keep me interested!
