It's about time the doggies get some attention!

Since I was born, mommy and daddy keep saying that they feel so guilty that the doggies aren't getting the attention that they used to get.  They never thought it would be as hard as it has proven to be!  The doggies have been great with me and try really hard to be my friend.  I think I will enjoy them more when I get a little older but for now, I like to pet their fur!  I do get annoyed when they bark, especially that Maggie who has this really high pitched bark that hurts my ears!  They tend to stick together so I also enjoy sitting in my bumbo seat just watching them play.  Today, all the doggies went to get their haircut so it was just me, mommy and daddy at home!   Mommy even washed all the doggies blankets and bed gear so they had a little puppy pampering today!

Erie County Fair

We took our first family visit to the fair the other night!  I like to be constantly stimulated so this was a good place for me to visit!  There was so much for me to look at that I stayed interested for about 1.5hrs which is a long time for me!  I started to get a little bored but then daddy carried me and we got to visit with
Grandma C. and Aunt Nae!  Overall,  I had a fun time and fell right to sleep when we got home!

My First Taste of Semi-Real Food!

I had my 4 month check-up the other night and did really well!  We had to wait longer than usual since mommy and daddy had to take me later in the day.  Ms. Crystal at daycare did a great job and had me changed and fed when mommy and daddy came to get me for my appointment!  I hardly cried the entire time we were there-even when the nurse gave me a shot!  She was talking to me and I was busy smiling at her when she surprised me with the needle!  I only cried for a brief second!  I actually got a good report this visit and found out that I'm catching up to other babies my age.  I'm now 13lbs and 24in long!  Since I'm doing so well, the doctor said that I get to try some oatmeal type cereal now.  The first day that mommy tried it, I didn't like it too much but today, Aunt Nae fed me a little and I seemed to take more of an interest.  Grandma C loved my facial expressions and couldn't stop laughing!

Studios Alexis

Before I arrived in this world, mommy used to read to me every night.  After I was born, she had this idea that I would love to sit on her lap each night and she would read to me before bedtime.  As many of the other unrealistic ideas she had, she quickly realized that I wanted no part of that.  Now, as I'm a little older, I'm beginning to show more interest in books.  I prefer to hold my own books and will only sit for a very short bit but mommy says it is at least a start!

Pluto!

Mommy and daddy have two big stuffed animals, pluto and simba.  Mommy saw pluto sitting upstairs the other morning and decided to see what I thought of him since he is so soft and furry.  Well, I ended up loving him more than she ever expected!  Every time she brings him out, I smile and pull him up to my face!  Her and daddy seem to think it is just adorable so of course, they took pictures!

Computer Time

Mommy thought it was just so adorable when she saw me playing with my computer this morning so of course she decided to take pictures!  I'm starting to press the buttons on my own rather than everyone else press them for me!

Watch Me Grow-4 months old!!

Wow!  I'm 4 months already and growing so quickly!  I rolled over for the first time last night and was just as proud of myself as mommy was of me!  She was acting all silly when I did it!  She said she was so excited because she had been trying to get me to do it for a couple weeks.  I finally decided to make her happy and just do it!  I go to the doctor this week for my 4 month check-up and shots so I'm not sure how much I weigh yet but mommy and daddy think it is about 13lbs..even Miss Sally at daycare thinks I have grown in the little time she has spent time with me!  Each day is new and exciting for me but I have been enjoying watching the doggies and I even try to grab for them when they get close enough.  I babble all the time now, especially when I lay in my pack-n-play looking at my toys.  I also really enjoy daddy holding me above him as he kisses me all over...I get so excited sometimes that I let a little spit out that falls on his face!  Mommy thinks that is hilarious!  Overall, this month has brought lots of changes but I'm really starting to enjoy myself!

My Friend, Tigger

Grandma C. brought over a new friend for me last week..she really spoils me!  I love to talk with her and she is one of the few people that can really get me smiling and giggling!  I love the bright colors on Tigger and he is just my size!  I try really hard to get his nose in my mouth but it is a tad too big for me right now! 

Play Time

Just enjoying some good family time this weekend!  I really enjoy putting my hands in my mouth and watching mommy and daddy make silly noises and faces! 

 

Walking More

Since mommy and daddy insist on walking the doggies all the time, they drag me along too.  I'm not a fan of going on walks but the other night, mommy wanted to try me in the umbrella stroller since I'm getting bigger each day!  I actually liked it!  I held onto my "bb" and just watched the world go by.  The bad thing is that this stroller has no bottom to it like my other stroller so Chloe can't go on the walks with us.  She usually rides in the bottom compartment since she won't walk anymore.  Mommy feels bad that Chloe can't come so she is trying to figure out a way to include our whole family on the family walks!

Grandpa's Visit!

Tonight grandpa came over to visit with me!  This was the first time that grandpa got to see me happy and smiling!  I had a good time sitting on grandpa's lap and playing with him!  He even got to watch me play in my jumper which is my new favorite toy :-)

1st Day of Daycare

Today was a big day for me!  I went to my first day of daycare.  Mommy only left me there for part of the day but it was hard for her.  I have been sleeping through the night so good until the last 2 days.  For some reason, this morning I was up at 4am.  So once again I taught mommy a lesson of trying to have things planned out...some day soon she will just realize that she needs to stop planning a schedule for me!  It all worked out and we made it out the door by 6:40am.  I was in a good mood and didn't cry when we arrived or when the lady took me from daddy.  There was a welcome Alexis sign on the door to the baby room where I stay! 
Mommy came to pick me up around 12pm and spent some time with me and Miss Sally.  I seemed to really like Miss Sally and was even smiling when she talked with mommy.  They told mommy that I was a good girl and seemed to really like the swing!  They also told mommy that they thought it was cute how I hold onto my "bb" all the time.  Overall, I did great and mommy didn't do too bad either!
