Having Fun with Daddy

As everyone probably knows by now, I'm a baby on the move!  I like to be moving and doing something at all times!  Daddy is so good with me and seems to know exactly what I like!  He stands me up and does the macarena dance with me while singing it!  I have a blast!  He then puts me on my side like I'm posing for pictures..I just giggle and laugh when he plays with me!  What a special daddy I have!

                        

My New Toy

Mommy came to pick me up from daycare last week and I was having a ball in the walker they have there!  I love to be on my feet and moving so this is perfect for me!  Since I seemed to like it so much, mommy and daddy went out and bought one for me to use at home.  I'm still a little short for it so I need to either be in bare feet or gripper socks to move in it.  It keeps my attention and I really enjoy watching the kiddos outside when the front door is open!  I'm not real quick in it yet but once I can get going, I bet the dogs will enjoy running after me!  I love to just watch them and touch their fur now!

 

Grandparents Grandparents!

This week I got to see all my grandparents!  I'm such a lucky little girl that everyone loves me so much!  Although I may be a little hesitant at first, I have been warming up and usually give at least 1 or 2 smiles before the visit ends!  I'm not crying quite as much with everyone so mommy and daddy are feeling a little less guilty when everyone comes to visit!

Watch Me Grow-5 months old!!

I'm 5 months already!  I'm such an independent little girl already!  I like to be on my feet and always doing something!  I find sitting around quite boring unless I'm at daycare watching all the other kiddos around me!  Today, on my 5 month birthday, Miss Sally at daycare gave mommy my best report yet!  She said I was so good today and I was even content in my crib for a good 30 minutes just talking and babbling!  These good reports always make mommy happy and as she always tells me..." a happy Lexi makes a happy mommy which makes a happy wife which makes a happy life!" 

See my 5 month old picture of me and pooh bear below.  I found pooh bear quite interesting this month and kept wanting to turn around and explore him rather than sit with him for a picture!  I really wanted to eat his nose!

Grandma C. Spends the Day with Me!

Yesterday, grandma C. took a day off work just so she could spend it with me!  It was mommy's last Friday off so we all spent it together!  We were hoping to go to lunch but I have taken quite a few steps back in the past two weeks and wasn't up to going.  The doctor thinks my acid reflux is acting up again so I have gone from sleeping 10-11 hours each night to sleeping maybe 2 hours!  Not good for anyone involved so needless to say, grandma came over to help mommy for the day!  I really enjoyed her time with me and was even smiling and giggling most of the day!  Grandma even made mommy and daddy dinner while I napped!  She is so good to all of us!  Thanks grandma!

Chillin at Home

I made it through 1 month of daycare before getting sick!  Mommy and daddy took me to the doctor on Friday to make sure my ear was ok since I kept pulling on it.  The doctor said no ear infection yet but I'm very congested and my throat is sore!  Needless to say, no one has gotten much sleep in the past week!  We stayed home this weekend and tried to have some "lazy" days!

Me & Ty

This weekend I was lucky and got to visit with my cousin Tyler!  He lives in Florida so I don't get to see him too often.  He is about 5 months older than me so he is starting to teach me things when I see him.  This visit, he brought this cool popping toy with him and showed me how to hit the top so the balls would spin!

Fun with Daddy!

I'm smiling and laughing so much more now, mommy can actually catch my smiles on camera!  I love hanging out with daddy..he makes me giggle all the time!  Our special times always include him helping me dance on mommy's bathroom counter-that is my favorite stage because there are so many mirrors!  I laugh so hard!  Mommy is going to try to get some pictures of this!
