Xmas with The Christie's & The Cerullo's

This was my first Christmas and boy did I enjoy all the paper!  During the week, I ended up getting strep throat again so I wasn't feeling so great for my first Christmas but as mommy & daddy have learned, nothing goes as planned or as they had pictured!  Overall, I did ok for being sick and with there being so much excitement and late nights! 

 On Christmas Eve, we went to my grandpa and grandma Christie's house.  I just loved pulling paper off the boxes and then shredding it with my hands.  The gifts were cool too but you can't beat that paper!  It's always great to see my grandma's side of the family too.  My playmates, Chelsea and Spencer were there but I didn't feel like playing too much that day :-(  I look up to Chelsea because she is only a couple months older yet can do so much more than me!  She is already standing while I'm still figuring out this whole crawling thing!  Hopefully next time I see everyone, I will be feeling better so we can play more!

On Christmas Day, we went to my grandma K's house.  There were so many cool things at her house for me to play in.  Alot of the stuff is for outside when it gets warmer again but I'm really looking forward to using it.  I even got a wagon where my little doggie Chloe can sit in there with me since she doesn't like to walk.  Mommy used to put her in the basket on my stroller but I'm not a fan of my stroller so mommy doubts we will be using it too often! 

The doggies aren't forgotten either..they get to come with us on Christmas Day and have a ball playing together.  There are 7 of them and they all get along!  Each year, mommy takes a picture of all the doggies together!  A bit chaotic at times but they settle and end up sleeping anyway!

I'm such a loved and spoiled little girl from all my family! I'm very lucky to have so many people that love me!  Thank you again to everyone for all my gifts!!!

Xmas with Grandpa Vince and Grandma Sue!

Today we celebrated xmas a little early with my grandpa Vince and grandma Sue.  They brought me really cool toys but my favorite part was the paper!  I just love tearing paper!  I'm starting to get my top front tooth so I wasn't quite my new and improved self but I really enjoyed all the new stuff!  Mommy and daddy keep singing the song, "all I want for xmas is my two front teeth" since it completely fits me!  I may just have 1 or 2 new teeth in time for xmas!  Thanks again grandma and grandpa for my cool stuff!  I especially like the music table and turning the pages on that book!

 

Watch Me Grow-8 months old!!

I'm 8 whole months and boy am I advancing!  I'm a touch below 17 lbs now..still 25th percentile..but feisty as ever!  I went to the Ear Nose & Throat doctor the other day and she told mommy that I was a "strong, feisty little girl"!  Mommy just laughed and said, "Oh trust me, I know!"  I have such a personality now and love to explore.  I try to touch and pick up everything.  I try to squirm out of mommy's arms when she is holding me and love to stand with mommy and daddy's help.  I'm on the verge of crawling but not quite there yet.  I just love the doggies..they make me giggle all the time!  I especially have an interest in the fuzzy black and white one (aka..Bandit).  Mommy pushes me on my little car and we chase him around the house.  The funniest part is that he doesn't learn and always comes back for more!  I slept through the night two times this week...I haven't done this since August!  Mommy and daddy are hoping that they are finally figuring me out but I still like to keep them guessing :-)

Christmas Comes Early!

I'm quickly learning that mommy and daddy are unable to keep secrets and gifts until the day they are supposed to be opened.  Daddy gave mommy her birthday present about 1 month early and this happens all the time!  Yesterday, they let me play in my new toy that I'm supposed to be getting for Christmas!  Since I wasn't so cooperative with walks this past summer, they are desperate to find something that I enjoy so we can all go for a walk as a family again next summer!  I really seem to like this car...I hold onto the steering wheel and have a big smile on my face as soon as we start moving!  They are keeping their fingers crossed that I still enjoy it next summer but for now, we ride around the 1st floor in our house!

Shopping

Today we ventured out to the store and mommy and daddy decided to try me in the shopping cart.  They said that I'm getting heavy to be carrying all the time and I hate my car seat so they try to avoid that at all costs!  So, since I'm doing so well with sitting on my own, they wanted to see if I would like it.  I did but I was a little tired so I didn't last as long as they hoped!  Daddy said that I'm not quite ready for him to take me to do a large grocery shopping yet but hopefully someday soon!  Mommy said that 7 months is her favorite age so far since I can do so much more and I don't cry so much :-)

Snow Day!

This was my first snow day!  I got to stay home with mommy and daddy today since there was so much snow!  They had this bright idea to bundle me up and take me outside on my sled.  Needless to say, I was less than pleased and didn't last long!  I'd much prefer to be inside where it is nice and warm!

Decorating

I'm learning that Thanksgiving weekend is mommy and daddy's favorite weekend of the year!  Not only do we have the family over for Thanksgiving dinner, but football is on, there is black-friday shopping and we decorate for the holidays!  What a great weekend!
Mommy was so busy entertaining and cooking on Thanksgiving that she totally forgot about taking any pictures!  I can at least tell you about it...I was really good on Thanksgiving and even took a nap right when dinner was being served so mommy and daddy got to enjoy their meals too!  Yesterday we went to see grandma Christie's side of the family and I was such a little angel there too!  I played quietly on the floor and even enjoyed Spencer hugging me!  I was held and passed around and no cries!  To some, this may not seem like a big deal but mommy and daddy seemed so proud!  Mommy once again forgot her camera :-(

As I mentioned, we decorated the house for the holidays this weekend...mommy wore the bjorn and I really enjoyed being able to see what was going on, touching things and even helping to put a couple ornaments on the tree!  I think I pulled more off the tree than I put on but it made mommy laugh!

Today we went to the mall and visited with Santa!  Mommy and daddy were unsure how I would do but I ended up doing great!  I didn't smile of course but atleast I didn't cry!  I really seemed un-phased by the whole thing and was more interested in the things around me!

I have been so much more content lately and that is with my first tooth coming in!  I don't feel the need to be constantly moving and jumping anymore...I even enjoy sitting on the floor or in daddy's big chair and just playing with my toys!  I try hard to figure things out and love to feel the different textures!

Model

I've been such the model lately!  First, I get my picture taken at daycare and they get me to smile so nicely!  Mommy says that she needs to learn what they did to make me smile so much!  Then, I went to get my picture taken with mommy and daddy for Holiday cards!  Mommy was a little disappointed and didn't even end up using the pictures for the cards!  I've been such a good sport with all these pictures!  Such chubby little cheeks I have!!

Thanksgiving at Daycare

At daycare we celebrated Thanksgiving!  They even had a turkey dinner for us and our families!  They made this cute little hat for me and a card for mommy and daddy with my hand print!  The staff at my daycare are so good to me and always have us doing the coolest things!

Watch Me Grow-7 months old!!

Wow!  I'm 7 whole months today!  I'm getting so big!  I have been a busy little girl.  I love to try to figure things out..I will study and study something to see how it works.  Mommy and daddy think my facial expressions are precious!  I have been smiling and laughing a lot more too!  I'm up to about 16 lbs and am getting my first tooth! I'm finally rolling over and even attempting to get on all fours!  My new obsession is to watch the doggies!  I really like feeling their fur and I'm lucky that they are such good sports about me pulling their ears! The other exciting thing is that I will be spending more time with mommy and daddy starting next month when mommy begins to work part-time!  I'm only going to be at daycare 2 days/week!  I'm liking this whole turning 7 month thing!
