Mr. Smiley

I know I know. Mommy said that I need to be all caught up with pictures and updates before she returns to work this week. That is why there is an overload of updates!

So my little brother has been doing well! Now that he is feeling better, he is one happy little guy that smiles and giggles a lot! He is even sleeping through the night! Mommy says that Jaden is more laid back than I was. I was an active little thing right from the start but Jaden loves to just sit in someone's lap and watch TV. This was and even still is unheard of with me! She says that Jaden is gonna have daddy's personality!

My 1st Haircut!

I know, you are probably thinking that my hair was barely growing so why would I be getting a haircut?!? I asked that too when mommy and daddy kept saying that I was going for a haircut. The main reason is that grandma K kept telling mommy that if she trims my hair, it will help it grow and grow thicker. Daddy kept asking mommy to trim it but mommy was afraid of cutting too much. Since I hate anything in my hair, my hair kept getting into my eyes and I complained about it all the time! So, needless to say, mommy gave in and scheduled me to go with her for a haircut. Grandma K joined us since she has a way with me in getting me to do things that I don't want to do! I was even impressed with myself! I sat and watched mommy and then wanted to sit on her lap so that's when Mrs. Dominica quickly did some trimming! After we were done, we met aunt Nae and went to McDonald's to eat and play! What a fun morning!

Aunt Nae's Special Playroom

I may have mentioned this before but I'm one very lucky little girl. My aunt nae(aka Nae Nae) treats me like her own daughter! Not only do I have my own room in her house with a crib & changing table, but she fixed up her basement with a ton of toys for me! I love going there and just love running around! She even makes sure to get all different toys than what I have at my own house! Mommy thinks it is hilarious how I walk around saying Nae Nae all the time! I love my aunt Nae

Our Playroom is Finally Done

So this has been a long time coming.  Mommy and daddy had this bright idea for a long time to finish part of the basement into a playroom for me and my brother.  The project was supposed to start and be done back in October.  They thought they were being smart and had the project take place when Jaden was just 2 weeks old so daddy would be around to help out.  It's not easy with having work done on the house with a newborn, an active 18month old and 4 dogs!  Needless to say, the project didn't go as planned and a couple months later, it is finally done!  Mommy and daddy still have to go to court since they are trying to get money back from the company that started the project.  The second company did a great job but there was a lot more work that needed to be fixed and completed than they thought so it took over double the time.  It has been worth it though since it is now my favorite place to be!  I stand by the basement door, hit it and ask to go down to play!  There are so many toys down there, it is like going into a toy store!  My brother even has stuff down there that he can do!

Xmas Festivities!

What a whirlwind of a couple weeks!  Even through various sicknesses, we had great family time and fun this holiday season!  I quickly learned about Santa and all about opening presents!  I even got to open all of Jaden's since he is too little this year!  Daddy told me not to get used to that since Jaden will want to do his own next year!  I'm sure he won't mind if I help :)
Mommy really wanted to take us to church this year but unfortunately, it didn't work.  She said definitely next year!  She wants me to see how beautiful services are, especially on Xmas eve. 
So even though I wasn't a fan of Santa this year and sitting on his lap, I did enjoy seeing him from a distance!  Mommy and I went to see him at the mall and when he visited daycare.  I also got a sneak peek before the big night when he visited my neighbors house! When mommy got me up on Xmas day, she told me that Santa had come so I ran to my bedroom window and looked for Santa where I saw him the night before! Mommy thought that was so cute!
Mommy and daddy said that their best gift this year was myself and my brother being so good even with our schedules being off!  My brother can actually be put down and doesn't scream all the time now so this is making things so much easier and I can once again get more attention! 
I was so tired from all the jammed packed days, it took me a couple to catch up on all my sleep!
I want to thank everyone for all my great gifts and all the love that everyone shows me and my brother!  We are so lucky to have such great family!  Best wishes from our little family to yours for a happy and healthy new year!

Jaden: Watch Me Grow-3 months old!!

My little brother is 3 whole months already!  I've really come around and enjoy his company now!   I like to copy mommy and try to get him to smile and giggle which he has been doing more often now that he is feeling better!  Mommy and daddy thought that I was a handful but I think Jaden is causing them even more gray hairs than I did! A positive is that I've become mommy's little helper when it comes to Jaden. Mommy says that I've grown up so much even in the last couple months!

Jaden is now about 11lbs, 23in long and sleeps well most nights.  He begins daycare in 2 weeks when mommy returns to work.  His favorite thing right now is his colorful giraffe toy.  He is also holding up his neck fairly well and enjoys looking at the musical lights in the jumper.  He hates to be ignored and much prefers to be held at all times.  He tolerates the swing for short naps but most likes to nap on his tummy ontop of someone or in his pack-n-play.  We are slowly figuring out what makes Jaden happy and content!

Aunt Ashley's Bday

This weekend, we celebrated mommy's and aunt Ashley's birthdays.  We were also supposed to go to aunt Nae's on Saturday but I came down with another ear and sinus infection so I stayed home and slept instead.  On Sunday, since I was feeling a bit better, we went over to grandma and grandpa Christie's home to celebrate.  My little brother enjoyed all the attention and I really enjoyed uncle Anthony.  He makes me laugh all the time!  I ate some dinner and cake and even helped aunt Ashley open her gifts!

Mommy and daddy's continued efforts to get a good family picture keep proving to be unsuccessful!
