Go Go Go

I have been having a ball this week!  Even though I'm sick again, I'm not letting it slow me down!  I now pull myself up on almost everything.  I try to balance without holding on but keep falling down on my tush.  Atleast it doesn't hurt too bad!  My newest adventure that I began today is to attempt climbing the stairs.  It looks like mommy and daddy have more work to do this weekend!  The doggies are not enjoying their confinement in the house.  They are very used to being able to go where they want :-)  Between me and the doggies always wanting something, mommy never gets to sit down!

My other adventure this week was an outing to the Pancake House with mommy and daddy.  Daddy had to switch his day off so we got to spend a whole day together!  This was my first time sitting in a highchair at a restaurant.  I did good but thank goodness for the teething biscuit!  We then went to the mall and mommy and daddy bought me a dvd player for the car.  They are really hoping that it occupies me enough so I will stop screaming and put them out of the car ride misery!  There is no price tag on peace and quiet during car rides!

Daddy Teaching Me New Tricks

As many already know, daddy loves to play playstation.  He really liked when I was little and would just sleep on his chest.  That didn't last too long though because I am a baby on the go and have been since I realized that I could move!  He doesn't get to play his video games as much as he used to but unlike mommy, he makes time for fun things like that while I am napping.  The other day, I decided that I wanted to sit on daddy's lap and learn how to play!  I love the remote and try to grab it as daddy is trying to make a play!  Mommy thinks it is hilarious but daddy doesn't seem the humor as much!  Just wait daddy...this is only the beginning!  Just wait until you are playing a barbie video game with me! 

Doggies Doggies

I have such an interest in the doggies and they have no interest in me! In fact, they wish I would just stop making so much noise, taking cuddle time away from them and stop taking their toys!  Now that I'm on the move, I love to follow them around the house.  The other day, Chloe was eating so Koda and I decided to watch her and make sure she ate all her food!  I then enjoy watching them when they go outside!  I make sure they do what they are supposed to do, especially Bandit!  Mommy says that I'm a good little helper (most of the time!). 
We haven't taken a picture in a while of all the kiddos so mommy bribed the doggies with treats and they put up with it for a short bit!  I was good too and even sat still for a couple minutes while mommy took the pictures!

Watch Me Grow-9 months old!!

I'm now 9 months old and boy has life gotten fun!  I'm on the go all the time and even so much that mommy had a real hard time taking my picture with Pooh Bear this month!  I wanted no part of sitting still for the picture and would try to crawl away as soon as mommy would sit me there! 

I went for my 9 month check-up this morning!  I continue to be a peanut in the 25th percentile!  I'm 17lbs and 27in tall right now.  I continue to have my food allergies but we are slowly working through it and have come a long way since 9 months ago.  The doctor told mommy & daddy that I will continue to be on the special, expensive formula for the "long haul".  They didn't seem to excited about that comment.  I have started to eat some cheerios over the weekend and mommy has tried a couple other things too.  I'm not a fan of veggies at all but love fruit!  I have also started to sit in my highchair at the table while mommy & daddy eat dinner.  This was a big step for me and credit has to go to grandma K who had the great idea of giving me a teething biscuit to entertain me.  Now we eat as a family most nights!  I continue to hate my car seat and car rides.  Every time we go anywhere, I scream most of the way.  Mommy says that it stresses her out and even tried me in a "big girl" car seat.  It made no difference-still hate the car! 
I'm advancing in almost every way. Mommy and daddy say that it is so much fun to watch me and the things that I try (I also make them nervous alot).  I'm quite the adventurous one and have taken several tumbles because of it.  I am determined to be on the go and explore almost every second I'm awake!  Mommy and daddy sure have their hands full!

Random Weekly Pictures

Now that mommy has off a couple days during the week, she tries to take lots of pictures of me again!  Sometimes I cooperate and sometimes I prefer to be a stinker and look the other way!  She is catching me smiling and laughing so much more now than ever before!

2011 is Proving to be a Big Year so Far!

So 2011 just began last week and already I have started it off with a bang!  Not only did I begin to crawl this week but I'm also starting to pull up on things!  I'm sleeping through the night more and more and I'm even letting mommy work out a couple days a week while I'm awake!  I love to copy other people and I'm laughing more than I have in my 8.5 months!  Overall, it's been a great start to the new year!

I began crawling earlier this week and within a couple days, I'm really on the go.  Mommy and daddy are in the process of Lexi-proofing the house now.  The doggies aren't so happy because now they have a lot less freedom.  I love the doggies and even try to play with them now!  They do not seem so thrilled with me but they are real good to me and give me lots of kisses!

My next adventure is pulling myself up.  I have been trying real hard with toys and I do it a little but not to this point!  Just this morning, mommy put me down for a nap.  Soon after she left, I wanted to see where she went so I pulled myself up to look over the side of the crib!  She came in and couldn't help but laugh because she saw that I was so proud of myself and giggled so hard when I saw her!  She said that I'm growing up so quick now!

Peek-a-Boo

One of my favorite games right now is peek-a-boo.  Mommy hides and then says "where's mommy?" She pops out from where she is hiding and I laugh and laugh!  It's the best! 

Today, while daddy was working on lowering my crib, mommy and I played in my room.  I'm starting to pull myself up on things so daddy and mommy want to be a step ahead of me and make sure I am safe in my crib.  I'm still not quite crawling but enjoy scooting around.  Before everyone knows it, I will be on the go even more and no one will be able to catch me!  Even now, I squirm so much that it is quite the work-out when mommy and daddy try to dress me!  I think it's funny but they don't always seem so amused :-)
