My Baby Brother's Room

Mommy and daddy used some of the time when I was at grandma's this weekend to finish my baby brother, Jaden's room.  Mommy is worried that Jaden is going to arrive fairly soon so she wants to be as ready as possible!  Her doctor said that the new goal is 34 weeks rather than 40 weeks so that doesn't give us alot of time!  His room is now complete.  I love to go in there and pull out all his toys, clothes and stuffed animals!  I also love to climb back into the swing that is in his room right now.  It brings back memories of all the months I used to have to sleep in it before I could sleep in my crib!  I think having a little brother will be fun but I may change my mind once he is hear and needs so much attention from mommy and daddy!

Overnight at Grandma K's

Since mommy needs alot of rest right now, grandma K and aunt Nae offered to watch me Friday and Saturday this weekend.  I stayed over once before so mommy was less nervous this time.  She didn't even leave instructions with them this time!  They are around so much that they just know what I need!  Mommy says that she loves that because it makes her life so much easier!  We played at grandma K's house Friday but Saturday we went back to the town pool.  Grandma K and aunt Nae take such good care of me and have so many toys for me to play with so I don't get bored!  Mommy of course kept texting to make sure I was ok and she said that her and daddy missed me alot!

Daddy Daycare

For those of you who don't know already, Thursday is my special day with daddy!  He has every Thursday off so he usually takes me grocery shopping or running around to do some errands that mommy prefers not to do!  This Thursday was even more fun than usual.  Daddy decided to take me back to Explore and More since I really enjoyed it the first time and since it has been so hot outside!  Aunt Ashley even joined our little trip!  I just love other kids so I have no fear of joining a group of kids already playing!  Mommy always says that she loves this about me!  Of course, they also took me to the Fisher Price store since it is right around the corner from the museum!  I love my daddy time!

Family Family Family!

I love that almost my whole family is so close to me that I get to see everyone on a regular basis!  This weekend, I got to see all my grammas and grandpas!  Friday, grandpa Vince and grandma Sue came over to visit.  I'm such a silly little girl and love to be goofy and bounce around everywhere.  My favorite thing to do right now is to jump into daddy's playstation chair and roll around!  In this picture, I was teasing grandpa!

On Saturday, we went up to Niawanda Park.  This was definitely not mommy & daddy's better ideas.  This place was way too boring for me and between the long car ride and sitting in my stroller, it was way too much time being restrained and not being able to run around!  I did seem to like the boats and ducks but I'd much prefer a place a little more active!  On a good note, I ate a little ice cream and didn't get a bad tummy ache!  This is a big thing for me!

I then went to visit grandma Christie & grandpa Christie after the park.  I found a couple of Aunt Ashley's stuffed animals that I really took a liking too!  My favorite is the little monkey that she lets me play with! I also have this new thing of calling all little kids "baby".  Grandma has this statue of a little boy and a dog.  I kept going over to it and trying to pick it up while repeating over and over "baby".  Mommy kept telling me "no touch" but I just wanted to pick it up and play with it!  I wasn't on my best behavior there but atleast grandma and grandpa seem to think that I'm funny!

Today, daddy and mommy took me to the "big"pool in west seneca.  Mommy had this blow up lady bug toy all ready for me to use in the pool and then they wouldn't let us use it!  Mommy was very disappointed.  Daddy keeps saying that we should just get a pool in the back yard but mommy has never been a big fan of pools since they are alot of work.  After the last couple days though, mommy says that she is rethinking the whole idea!  Daddy is so much fun so when he is with me, I seem to really adapt to things even if I'm not the biggest fan in the beginning!  I had a blast today and loved the water!  Aunt nae says that she will take me for swimming lessons this fall.  I even got my hair wet and didn't mind at all!  After I got a little chilly, we went back to the baby pool where I made some friends and played in the warm water!  Such a busy weekend but so much fun!

Trip to the Town Pool

Since it has been so hot and muggy, mommy thought it might be neat to take me to the pool and get me used to the water a bit.  I do not seem to be a fan of water which mommy finds odd since I love my baths!  Anyway, mommy heard that the West Seneca Town Pool has a really good kiddy area so we gathered up grandma K and aunt Nae and spent some time checking it out!  It turned out to be a blast!  I wasn't a fan of the mushroom waterfall area but took a liking to the wading pool.  I explored the outside first and then got braver and braver as time went by!  I saw all the other kids doing it so thought it must be ok!  By the end, I even sat in the water and played!  Mommy did learn a lesson since she was not prepared with toys for me to play with.  I kept trying to take other toys that were not mine!  And mommy is usually so prepared..not this time!
The play area even had swings and a playground that I enjoyed exploring too!  It tired me out so much that I fell asleep on the way home.

The Christie Kiddos

I think the busy days have caught up to me and mommy.  We both ended up sick this weekend.  I have been unusually out of sorts by whining alot, getting up crying during the night and wanting to cuddle. So even though we had a lot of plans this weekend, we ended up staying home and keeping things low key instead.  Mommy snapped these pictures when I was sitting so nice on the chair.  It is not often that she can catch all of us Christie kids together!

Trip to Strong Museum of Play!

What a great family day!  Daddy took off work so we could go on a special little trip today!  Mommy and daddy told me it would be fun but I wasn't expecting it would be this much fun!  Mommy and daddy were smart and planned it so we left right before my nap so I slept most of the way to Rochester instead of crying!  When we got there, it was time for lunch so we went to the Dinosaur BBQ restaurant.  I certainly wasn't the best behaved in there since it took a little longer than my attention span lasts.  After lunch, we went over to the National Museum of Play.  There is so much for me to do there and I could run all over the place!  There were so many kids that I tried to make friends with even though they were much bigger than me.  I went into this butterfly museum where so many butterflies were flying around me and there were little tiny birds that I liked to chase.  I think my favorite parts were the berenstain bears, the dragon, the slide and the miniature Wegmans grocery store.  I didn't understand alot of the exhibits but I know it will be even more fun in the future when I'm a bit older and can last a bit longer.  After 2.5hrs of running around, I was so tired that I could barely keep my eyes open!  I never sit next to daddy and just drink my juice and you will notice that I'm doing just that in the last picture!  It worked out perfect becuase I also fell asleep on the way home so all in all, mommy and daddy said that it was a great day!

Busy July 4th Weekend Festivities!

It looks like I have trained mommy and daddy well!  Mommy used to really enjoy her quiet weekends sitting on the deck reading a book.  That is no more now that I'm around!  We have been doing all sorts of things and it is alot of fun!  I sure do sleep well at night, especially since I'm down to one nap a day and never stop moving when I'm up!
This weekend, we celebrated the 4th a day early and went to grandma K's house.  All 7 doggies were there and there were all sorts of new toys for me to play with in the back yard.  I really enjoyed this tunnel that I could crawl through.  At first, I wasn't so sure but I figured if the doggie, Patch, could do it, then I could.  I did it one time and didn't want to stop!  Grandma K also brought out the bubbles which she quickly learned that my doggies are crazy with!  We all ran around trying to catch the bubbles but then I had my 1st collision with the doggie Maggie!  She was chasing a bubble and didn't see me so we collided but I'm a tough little girl and was up on my feet within minutes!  Daddy gave me a little TLC and I was back in action!   I was so tired when we got home that I slept through a lot of fireworks that were very close by!

Then on the 4th of July, mommy and daddy took me to the beach for the very first time!  It was a beautiful day so we decided to check out Woodlawn Beach by our house.  It was really nice but I wasn't a huge fan of the cold water.  I was a bit afraid which mommy thought was unusual for me!  I did enjoy saying hi to all the people and trying to walk over to their chairs and blankets!  Daddy even buried my feet in the sand!

Later in the day, we went to visit grandma & grandpa Christie.  I was quite a mischievous little girl and was into everything so we went to play in the back yard for a bit.  I really like the doggie, Ivan, but he wants no part of me!  When we were outside, he was laying there so I decided to take advantage of the moment and pet him.  He tried to inch further and further to safety but I still got to pet him!

And when you think my day couldn't get any busier, mommy and daddy took me for some icecream..well, I actually had sorbet since I'm not supposed to have icecream but it is sure tasty!  I really want to be a big girl and eat all by myself now so I made the attempt with my special treat.  Daddy didn't appreciate it too much since alot ended up on him but mommy thought it was pretty funny so that me made think it was funny!
