Holiday Fun

What a busy week!  First we had Thanksgiving at our house so I helped mommy clean when I was home.  I like to help push the vacuum and think it's hilarious to throw the toys back into the middle of the floor after mommy moves them so she can vacuum!  I also enjoy carrying around a rag just like mommy and copy what she does when dusting!  Mommy wasn't too happy when I discovered her Cherished Teddy cabinet because now I like to attempt to open it and walk around with the little figures :-)  My new favorite thing to do is sit on the counter while mommy cooks.  She says that it makes her nervous but after all, daddy says that she worries about everything! 

While Jaden slept through the whole Thanksgiving dinner, I was also a good girl and sat at the table most of it.  I even ate a couple pieces of turkey! 

Then the day after Thanksgiving, mommy always goes shopping so I stayed home with daddy and Jaden this year.  This day is also when we decorate the house for Xmas so we had everything ready for when mommy got home!  I would say that I helped with the tree but mommy and daddy would probably disagree since I kept taking off all the ornaments as they were putting them on!

These are all random pictures of me and my brother from the week.  I'd prefer to be the one playing with the camera and taking the pictures than being in them, but sometimes I will cooperate and actually smile! 

I was having a blast putting my winter hat on in the house the other day so I then wanted Jaden to wear his too!  I also love putting my new boots on and walking around the house.  I can't wait for the white stuff to come so I can play outside!

Jaden-Watch Me Grow-2 months old!!

It's 2 months already and Jaden is growing like crazy!  Mommy says that he may very well catch up to me in no time!  He already weighs over 9 lbs and his 0-3 month clothes are fitting just right.  I didn't fit into 0-3 month clothes until I was almost 4 months old! 
Jaden got a new bed last week to help him with his reflux.  Mommy wishes that it was around when I was Jaden's age so I wouldn't have had to sleep in my car seat.  This is partly why I hate the car so much!  JAden and I are alike in many ways but there are two major differences: he enjoys car rides and loves the sound of the vacuum.  Just like me, he is not a fan of tummy time and makes sure everyone knows when he is awake and wants attention!  He does enjoy napping on his tummy though!  His favorite thing to do right now is sit in his rainforest bouncer seat!  He is smiling more and more which makes me giggle!  Besides that, I still find him kind of boring-he can't do much yet and cries alot!

Growing Up Too Fast

Mommy thinks that my brother and I are growing up too fast.  Jaden will already be 2 months this week and is starting to look older already.  He is so much more alert now.  He has been enjoying the rainforest bouncer seat better than the boring white one we also have.  I didn't like the white one either so I can't blame him-the rainforest one has cool music, lights and animals that move!  He also enjoys Minnie and Mickey.  They have such bright colors that it keeps his attention for quite a while.  I still like to put all my toys on top of Jaden in hopes that he will play with me-it's not working so far!  He still prefers to be held over anything but as mommy and daddy figure out other causes of why he does this, he is very slowly learning that he can't always be held-afterall..I need some attention too!

Tyler's Birthday!

We don't get to see our cousin very much but he came in this weekend to celebrate his 2nd birthday with us!  I wasn't too sure at first but then enjoyed giving him all my toys.  He had some cool toys too that I don't have at home.  There were trucks, cars and trains that I was interested in.  We also had cake which I actually ate and enjoyed!  It would be fun if Tyler lived closer so we could play more often especially since we are so close in age!

Alone Time

When I'm at daycare, mommy gets to spend some quality time with Jaden.  He loves to stretch out and play on his mat without any toys or books landing on top on him.  He is starting to smile and loves when mommy makes funny faces at him.  He doesn't smile at me just yet but I'm pretty funny so I'm sure it is coming soon!  She even took him for a walk the other day without me or the doggies.  I wasn't too happy about that since I like to be included!  Jaden continues to give mommy a hard time with being put down during the day.  He much prefers to be held all day long.  He will be sound asleep on top of mommy and as soon as she puts him down, he is awake within minutes.  He really dislikes being shuffled around to drop me off and pick me up from daycare but mommy said that it is good practice for him since he is getting to know the staff who will be taking good care of him when mommy goes back to work.

Halloween!

I had lots of practice dressing up for this big night!  I had my daycare party, I went trick-n-treating at the mall, another party during the day at daycare and then finally the big night was here.  I proudly put on my Elmo costume and off I went with mommy and grandma K.  I went to about 10 houses before it started raining but enjoyed all the attention!  I held my little pumpkin out while everyone dropped candy into it!  I then went with daddy to surprise grandma and grandpa Christie.  I even got candy there!  Mommy thought it was so funny that when I was back home and the doorbell rang, I ran over to the bucket of candy, picked up a piece and put it into the pumpkins that the kids were carrying!  I'm a quick learner!
