Lexi is a Big Girl!

I have been interested in the potty since 16 months old but when mommy and daddy decided to focus on it one weekend back in February, I decided that I didn't want to be told what to do and put up all barriers.  I have slowly come back around and am now officially in undies!  I'm so excited to be a big girl and mommy and daddy tell me that they are so proud of me!  I do things when I want rather than when someone tells me to do them :)  Definitely mommy's girl!

Jaden's Surgery

Much like me, Jaden has had problems with his ears and throat from day one.  Jaden's got to be worse than mine so he had surgery at 10 months while I had mine at 23 months.  Mommy seemed much more worried about little Jaden's big day-she said it was because he was younger!  The last week he hasn't been eating much so that actually helped since he couldn't eat for a long time before the surgery.  Since he is young, he was the 1st surgery scheduled and they actually took him only 10 minutes late!  He's such a trooper and we are all so proud of him!  Mommy and daddy picked out the same 2 stuffed animals at the gift shop that they got me except in blue!  Now we both have the same surgery and same stuffed animals to remember it and had it in the same year!

Meeting Grandma K for Lunch!

We really enjoyed and got spoiled last summer when grandma K's work was in lockout.  Now that she works again, we do not get to see her as much :(  So, mommy decided to take us down to the marina and meet nae nae and grandma K during her lunch so we could all spend a little time!  My favorite thing this time was the flowers and walking on the rocks!  Jaden was very inquisitive of all the geese that we saw!  Oh, how could I forget the best part....the icecream!  This was by far Jaden's favorite!  Nae nae shared her mint ting a ling with him and he was in his glory-kicking his legs and everything in excitement!

Jaden's Special Time with Mommy & Daddy

This weekend, I went on a trip with nae nae and grandma K to Cleveland and Jaden spent some special time alone with mommy and daddy.  He went shopping and got a haircut but then got to take a walk, went to the park and was able to play with all the toys without me taking them from him!  He was all smiles so it appears he really liked being the "only" child for a day!

Before I left, mommy and I did my favorite thing...read a bunch of books!

Sibling Love

Now that Jaden can interact with me, we are really starting to team up on mommy and daddy!  Jaden's new thing is to go directly for the dog's water bowl when he is on he floor.  I find this so funny and tell him "Jaden, no no no" just like mommy but then I go for it myself! 

 Mommy has been wanting to try out these carts with us for a while but hasn't had the opportunity.  This morning, we were out and about very early so she thought it would be a good time to multitask!  We enjoyed ourselves much more than normal eventhough the pictures may not show that!

I love my books and puzzles but Jaden often annoys me when he tries to take them or touch them when we are both playing on the ground.  He thinks it is funny since he gets a reaction from me but I really don't like it!

Jaden: Watch Me Grow 10 Months Old!!

Mommy says that it seems like just yesterday when I was 10 months old and Jaden was still a secret! Jaden has had a big month! He can't be stopped now that he is crawling. Mommy turns her head for a second and he is gone! He loves to pound on things-he doesn't care if it is musical, cars or spoons, he just loves to pound and make noise! He is also getting into everything much more than I ever did-he opens cabinets, splashes in the dog's water bowl and tries to climb onto everything already. He puts everything in his mouth (something that I never did)! Mommy thought she had her hands full with me!
Jaden is finally off his reflux medicines! He is also getting surgery next week for his tubes and adenoids. Although mommy is a bit nervous since he is so young, she is hopeful that it will help with all his ear and throat infections! He has also started on lots of different foods and loves most of them. His favorite thing right now is shortbread cookies! He also loves his juice in his sippy! He is sleeping so well and hates to be woken up on daycare days! Zoo With Daddy!

We have been to the zoo a few times this year but this was the first time when daddy could finally join us!  We try to do different things each time we are there.  This time I got to play on the little people playground, feed a giraffe and even pet sheep!  I wasn't so sure at first but atleast I didn't cry or get scared!
