Big Boy Bed!

Since we all have alot of time off from daycare and work these weeks, daddy had the bright idea of switching Jaden to his big bed.  Jaden is changing classes in daycare and he sleeps on a cot there so mommy and daddy thought it may be a good time to do it.  Jaden was so excited about the idea and he played in his room the entire morning with the new set-up.  It's also nice because he now has more room for toys in there!  So far so good...for nap he went right to sleep and stayed there!  Let's hope it continues!

Helping Around the House

These photos were from last week but mommy forgot to add them...

We love to help out around the house.  I enjoy dusting and cleaning windows while Jaden really enjoys vacuuming.  He has his own little vacuum that he gets out when mommy is vacuuming the rest of the house!  Too cute!  We also love to help water plants!

Surgeries

Wow...this has not been fun for me at all.  Mommy and daddy thought it was a bright idea to schedule me and Jaden for surgery on the same day.  Originally Jaden was going to have the same surgery as me amongst other things but due to his age and the high risk associated with it, mommy and daddy got nervous and decided to hold off.  I had my tonsils out along with my adenoids.  My adenoids were done last year too but they somehow grew back!

Update:

It has now been a couple days and things are looking a bit brighter!  I almost ended up back in the hospital the day after my surgery since I am one stubborn little girl.  I was refusing my medicine, fluids and food.  Mommy was in communication with the doctor office all day since my temp began to spike also.  Finally, with mommy pleading, I took my medicine and my temp went down a bit so they let me stay home.  I now have really good moments but I'm also getting lots and lots of rest.  Mommy said that this experience has been more of a vacation than actually going anywhere since we have been stuck home and since I want her with me all the time.  She hasn't been able to race around the house doing anything!  There has been lots of cuddling, watching tv, coloring and sleeping!

 

After Jaden getting his ears cleaned out, sinuses flushed and a few other things, he hasn't been happier!  He is a bit sick but otherwise, in an excellent mood and actually sleeping well too!

Busy but Fun Sunday

Today we had lots of exciting adventures!  After our morning bike ride and walk, we went into the city to watch some baseball!  We went to a Bison's game last year but this year went a whole lot better!  We made it 5 innings this year and I sat back and said, "I like this game".  I kept asking when I could play too.  Jaden was hilarious and was more excited with what people were doing around him than the game.  He clapped every time everyone else clapped so he was right in it with the rest of us!

 Next we were off to the marina.  Jaden and I love boats, birds and ice cream!  The marina has it all!  Since it was such a nice day, there were lots of sailboats out!  I was even big enough this year to walk on the rocks all by myself-I was very proud of that!

When we got home, we had some time to just "play".  I kept asking to go in the pool so mommy and I tried it and Jaden and daddy followed.  It was a bit chilly at 74 but mommy said that her pool growing up rarely got above that!  I loved being able to swim all by myself.  I just took off!  Grandma Christie stopped over and was amazed by how good I did!  Jaden wasn't quite ready to go off alone but he loved kicking off mommy and blowing bubbles!  What a fun, exhausting day!

Annual Crohn's Walk

Today we all walked in the annual Crohn's & Colitis Walk.  We haven't all been able to do it in many years so this was exciting!  It was a gorgeous day for it too!  We walk in support of Nae Nae who is such an inspiration for all of us! 

Our New Summer Toy!

Since we got the pool this year, mommy and daddy said that we are gonna skip a big vacation but we are still planning a couple day trips!  In addition, daddy has been working on a bigger sandbox so Jaden, myself and friends can all play in it!  Mommy said that she had one growing up and just loved it so much.  Daddy doesn't quite get it but agreed to make one :)  We currently have a small one that Jaden and I love to go in but with all our trucks and stuff, we wanted something bigger!  It took a lot of time but it will be something that we remember for a very long time!  Thank you daddy!!!
