Tifft Nature Preserve

We were looking for something different to do outside this weekend.  Mommy and daddy pass Tifft Nature Preserve everyday to work and we always say that we should stop but never have....until today!  What an awesome, awesome place!  It was a bit wet from all the rain but there are walking paths everywhere!  Everything is nicely labeled and sectioned into areas of various species.  We decided to check out the trail with frogs, ducks and birds.  Walking through the marsch, we heard lots of frogs and saw a couple in the water but none came out for us to "really" watch.  We did see a bunny and a baby deer though!  I think mommy was more excited than Jaden and I!

After, we actually went out to lunch as a family!  We do not venture in doing this very often so this was a big treat!  Jaden and I did great and even ate a lot!  The best part....oreo milkshakes!

Finally...Warm and Sun!

Since we were out and about Friday and Saturday this weekend, we decided to stay home and enjoy this beautiful weather today!  We did a little bit of everything around the house including some pool time!  Nae nae and grandma K were gone all week so they stopped over to tell us all about their vacation with Mickey and Minnie!  Of course they brought us back some goodies too :)

Mommy and I ran through the sprinkler while daddy took Jaden for a haircut.  We also brought 3 of the 4 dogs into the water today!  Koda loves to swim, even in his old age!

 

 Daddy and Jaden brought home some lunch so we had a little picnic on the deck.

 



 Now that I can ride my bike, I want to ride it all the time!  I take turns with my babies in the back.  Today, Farley got to take a spin!  Jaden's favorite is still the trampoline this year!

 Jaden loves my barbie four wheeler.  He really needs something more "boyish"!  Since I love walking the dogs lately, nae nae let me walk Jasper!  He is perfect size for me and walks a little better than Chloe!

Change of Plans!

We have had a trip to the Pittsburg Zoo planned several times in the last couple months and each time, something comes up so we can't go.  Mommy thinks it is an omen that we shouldn't go!  We planned to go again today and even had the car packed but a couple things came up last minute that it wasn't a good idea to be driving so long. 
We decided to drive up to Canada's Wonderland instead.  Plans usually work out better when mommy doesn't "plan" so much but this time, it was beautiful weather here in the states and down pouring at the park in Toronto.  If you take the drive both ways out of it, we had an excellent time! 
We tried some rides, saw a few characters and even watched dinosaurs!  I even tried a roller coaster! I really love rides that spin just like mommy! Jaden especially enjoyed an airplane ride that he went on with mommy!  I asked about seeing Snoopy the whole way up to the park but we unfortunately didn't see him!  We ran into all his friends but not him.
At first we weren't so sure of the pouring rain but by the end, we actually enjoyed it and it made the trip very memorable!

 

 

 

Strawberries!

Mommy enjoys her special time with us and tries to plan something fun in between all the craziness in our schedules each week.  She hasn't been strawberry picking since she was real young so we decided to try it this morning!  It was a blast!  I was so excited and picked 2 whole containers all by myself!  Jaden did awesome in the beginning but since he still isn't "quite right", he didn't last very long.  He thought it was better to squish and throw the strawberries rather than help us pick them :)  Mommy didn't tell us that we could taste a couple until the very end and that was smart because we probably would have ate all of them!  Great tasty snack and a great memory!
