Remembering Nae nae's doggies

This week, we went with nae nae to put Patch and Tucker to rest.  Patch went to heaven 2 years ago unexpectantly and Tucker recently joined him.  This was a hard day for nae nae but we helped her and gave her a big hug after.  Rest in Peace little guys

Sitting Already?

Avery is growing so quick!  She turns 6 months next week already!  She is rolling around everywhere.  We don't even bother with a blanket anymore because as soon as we put her on the floor, she is off to where she wants to go!
She is also sitting like such a big girl!  She gets so proud of herself and even lately, if mommy is holding her, she will squirm until mommy puts her down.  Such an independent little lady.  Mommy said that I was the exact same way and have been that way since!

Sibling Love

Since things have been so busy, we have been staying in a lot more than we are used to.  We have needed the break though and have enjoyed some cuddle time!  We didn't use the IPads all summer and now they are a constant.  Our favorite thing right now is watching the old Wiggles and Peppa Pig.  We have also been loving the old Disney movies like Lady and the Tramp and the Fox and the Hound.  Mommy loves watching us get along and teach Avery new things!

Dress Up

Jaden and I have been loving to dress up lately.  Jaden always enjoys wearing everyone else's shoes and slippers but now it has turned to clothes also!  Our neighbors gave us some old Halloween costumes that we have been having a blast with!

Sabres Game

On Monday, we started off the day at the dentist.  This was my first “real” teeth cleaning and Jaden’s first time getting used to the idea of having his teeth cleaned.  We both did awesome and even got to go to lunch after.  Later in the day, nae nae was very brave and took both Jaden and I to the Sabres game.  This was Jaden’s first game!  He was so excited!  We sang songs, chanted with the crowed and cheered on our Sabres team!  We even got to ride the train down to the arena! 

 

While Jaden and I were gone, mommy and daddy continued to work on the mudroom cubbies.  The project is almost complete but the hard work and time have been worth it.  Jaden and I love the cubbies and enjoy having our own space to put all of our stuff.  Even the dogs have their own space! 

 

 

Although Avery’s tummy hasn’t been so great lately, she always seems to find some smiles!  She loves jumping now that she has figured out how to do it!

 

Emery Walk

On Sunday, we went with mom to the annual memory walk for Emery.  We go every year and mommy says that it is a good reminder how special all of us kids are.  We were amazed by all the balloons released into heaven.   We think about Emery every day, especially when we say our special prayer each night. 

Apple Picking

This weekend was a “nae nae and grandma k” kind of weekend.  On Saturday, they took Jaden and I apple picking.  We had fun picking apples but we also had fun eating them!

Watch Me Grow: Avery 5 months

Avery is getting to be such a big girl!  She is 5 months already and really wants to be independent.  She tries to sit up and lifts up in attempts to get moving.  Mommy hopes that she is an early crawler and walker!  She is a smiley little girl that loves cuddles and attention.  She is sleeping better at night and finds mommy funny when she reads to her before bed.  We are also teaching Avery our nightly prayer.  She isn't taking as many bottles but is eating more food!  Mommy is very happy and proud that Avery hasn't had to have any formula so far.  We hope to keep this going for at least another few months! 
 
 
 
 
 

Avery is now doing all sorts of new things.  She loves the jumper and walker.  When we are outside, she enjoys sitting in the little umbrella stroller so she can see what is going on.  She is also enjoying new toys that she can hold.  Her favorite was Jeffrey the giraffe until we lost it on one of our family outings.  She continues to adore her CeCe and binky but is not a blanket kind of girl like Jaden and I.

Mudroom Cubbies

The messiness of the house drives mommy crazy.  She is a very organized person and it appears that she is the only one in the house because there is "stuff" everywhere all the time!  She has been asking daddy for over a year to build a cubby system in our mudroom.  The time finally came this weekend!

 

Avery's Firsts

There are so many changes so quickly with babies Avery's age.  Avery is almost 5 months and has begun using new toys!  We spent some time during the week getting out new things for Avery that we have had in the basement.  It is always exciting to see her try new things!
