Summer is Coming to an End

The air smells like fall and the temperatures feel like fall most mornings and evenings.  In some ways it is nice but in most ways, we will miss summer.  There is so much to do in the summer and so many people to see!  We have done a good job this summer trying to see everyone.  We have visited almost every place that we wanted to and now we move toward the start of several new beginnings.

This week, we visited grandpa Vince and grandma Sue, met new friends that will be in my kindergarten class and had a play date with our good friends Carter and Cole.

Nae nae is such an awesome aunt.  She watches us on Fridays.  Not only is she brave to watch all three of us, but she takes us places!  This week she took us to a nearby park where there is a playground but also nature trails.  We love watching animals so when mommy picked us up, we told her all about the chipmunks!

Our house has been a bit under the weather.  On Saturday, mommy and Jaden went to go play with auntie Nicole, Carter and Cole.  Avery and I stayed home with daddy and had a lazy afternoon.  Jaden absolutely loved his "alone" time with mommy and mommy loved the easiness of only taking out one kid!

Today, we met daddy in the city when he got out of work so we could go to the Bison's game.  We have been trying all summer to get to one but it just hasn't happened.  We knew that we were running out of time since the season is ending so today was the day.  Grandma k was nice enough to stay home with Avery!

Then...weekly randoms.  Avery being our goofball in the tub, Avery's first hair bow and our haircuts to get ready for school!

Friends & Animals

Last weekend, daddy's cousin Lori and her family came to visit with us.  We swam, ran around, played with water balloons and the water slide.  Avery tried to get right into the mix with all of us big kids!  She often doesn't realize or believe that she is 15 months!  She thinks she is 3yrs and can do anything that we can do!  We always wish that we could visit with each other more often but we at least try for 1-2 times each year.

This weekend, we visited with some old neighbors of where mommy grew up.  They have stayed life long friends over the years.  She thinks it is very neat to see all the kids of her neighborhood grow up and have kids of their own.  We didn't take any pictures but we had a great time!  I even went down a water slide into a pool!  I loved it!!

Next up is our goofball, Jaden.  He is really coming into his own this summer.  He is typically trying to be a ninja turtle or just fooling around.  Mommy was pulling our train for a walk and I was taking pictures of Avery and Jaden.  Jaden decided to be funny :)

Now for the animals....there are not many Fridays left.  In fact, there is only one more Friday that mommy will have all 3 of us home at the same time when she isn't working.  She decided to take us to the zoo.  Jaden loves his sea lions so the zoo won out!

Then on Sunday when mommy was working, nae nae and grandma k took us to Canalside to watch the Duck Derby.  Nae nae worked on this project so she was excited for us to see it!  We thought it was fun to see all the ducks in the water!  We went on the pedal boats too!

Random Summer Fun

During the nice weather, we get out as much as possible.  We love visiting playgrounds, having play dates with friends and just hanging around the house.

I love my baby sister and she looks up to me!  I love showing her how to do things like taking care of baby dolls.

Avery can now do slides on her own and she loves it!  She is our little dare-devil.

Avery learning how to play hockey at a young age!

Yearly Visits

Summer is so short so like most others, we try to cram as much as possible into the few months.  This past Friday while mommy worked, nae nae and grandma k took us to the wading pool.  This is a place that we visit every summer.  Avery loved the water.  She has no fear which can be good and bad.  She loves to stick her face in the water and blow bubbles.

Next up...the Erie County Fair.  We go to this every year.   It is fun to see the animals, walk around and eat some food.  Mommy was extra excited to be able to eat the Fried Dough this year since last year she couldn't due to her special Avery diet.  Avery liked watching the animals but didn't want to get too close.  She didn't cry but would jump back.  We all thought it was super cute!

Daddy, Jaden and I watched a dog show where 6 dogs did a lot of different tricks.  Nae nae trains her doggies to do some of this stuff so we really liked watching this show!

We also buried Bandit this morning.  Bandit crossed the rainbow bridge in June but we buried him at the cemetery today so he can finally rest in peace.  Nae nae bought him a special wood box to keep his ashes in.  He will always be our special little Bandito, Bandit-man, Bandit.  We love you little bud!
