The Farm

Each time there is a birthday, mommy and daddy always ask us what we want to do to make the day special.  Jaden really wanted to go to the farm this year.  We couldn't have picked a better weather day.  It was a bit chilly without the sun but when the sun came out, it was perfect!

 Our first stop was to see "Cotton Candy".  Jaden is always talking about this big fluffy bunny. 

 

 

Avery was a bit timid of the big horses and wanted daddy's protection.

 

 3 little pigs were born 2 months ago and I was able to pet the one!  He was a bit scared and squealed.  Mommy said that she was so proud of me for trying everything while we were at the farm!

There were also baby chicks born just 2 days ago!  They were so tiny!

Another baby!  This time is was a calf, a baby cow!  He was so cute and fit right in with the goats and sheep!

Next we took a hayride to find our pumpkins!  I searched and searched for the biggest one I could find!  I even had daddy switch one out with one we already chose because I found a huge one last minute!

 

The pony rides are always a big hit!  Jaden doesn't usually like to do this but he did this time and loved it!  He just keeps building confidence in himself and it is awesome to watch!

What a fantastic way to celebrate Jaden's birthday and the beginning of the fall season!

Birthday Celebrations

Jaden's 1st celebration for his 4th birthday started last week with grandpa Vince and grandma Sue.  We even got to visit and play with Dylan since grandma Sue was watching him for the day.  Avery and Dylan are only a few months apart in age so it is cute to watch them together!

 

The next celebration came at school.  Jaden got to bring in a snack for his class to celebrate.  He was the 1st birthday of the year in his class.  Mommy made his class treat special and it was a big hit!

Next we celebrated his birthday on his actual birthday.  Mommy and daddy let him open the gifts from us in the morning before his party.  He is loving his Nintendo DS and his turtle sewer.  He also got new letters for his room that spell out his name.

 

Next...his party!  Grandma K made the special cake of course and did an awesome job!  Jaden seemed to enjoy the attention this year which was funny since typically he is so shy!  We love the little boy that he is developing into!

 

Happy 4th Birthday Jaden!  We all love you and hope your day was special.   Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us! 

Off to the farm tomorrow at Jaden's request.  Mommy and daddy always try to have a special day filled with activities that we want to do when it is our birthday.  It is a lot harder now to plan this since Jaden and I are in school.  Jaden really wanted to celebrate his birthday at the farm so that is what we are doing!

Watch Me Grow: Jaden 4 Years Old

Our little boy is growing up quick.  Mommy still can't believe that he is now 4.  She keeps thinking that I'm 4 and Jaden can't possibly be 4!  He has grown up so much in the last 6 months.  It is quite amazing.  He is coming out of his shell, has opinions and is developing so many skills.

 

Some of Jaden's favorites right now are the Ninja Turtles, the Avengers, baseball, hockey and puzzles.  He loves to play his new Nintendo DS, swim and watch TV.  His favorite foods are pizza, hot dogs and fruit.  He absolutely loves his juices and milk.  He would drink a good 5 cups of milk a day if he could.  Jaden adores daddy and cherishes his time at night before bed when he gets read to.  He no longer naps and doesn't appreciate quiet time like I always have. 

 

Jaden makes us proud each day with his loving personality and infectious smile.  Happy Birthday little buddy!!
