Aunt Ashley's Wedding

Today, we celebrated a very special event.  Aunt Ashley married Uncle Dave!  The ceremony took place outside and then we took lots of photos and celebrated this special event inside with our families.  We are all so happy for them in this new chapter of their lives!  Congratulations Aunt Ashley and Uncle Dave!

Family Picnic!

It is not very often that we get to visit with mom's step siblings but today we all went to grandpa Vince and grandma Sue's house for a picnic!  Mom and her step-brother first knew each other from when they worked at Wegmans but we all ended up being family a few years later!  They have 3 children all around our ages so it is fun to visit!  Us kids already planned the next play date!

Weekends Now Have a New Meaning

Things are very different now that mommy is back to work.  We are all very used to her being home but this past week was our first full week of our "new schedule".  This new schedule means very early wake up times for everyone and a lot of running around.  Since there is less time during the week, it now means that the weekends are filled with errands and all the other little things that were once done during the week.

This Saturday, nae nae took me to a princess party at the mall while mommy ran errands, Jaden spent some time with grandma K and daddy watched Avery.  The princess party was so much fun!  There was face painting, dress up, balloons and crafts!  I love spending time with nae nae and Mom and dad said that it is helpful to have family to help out! !

Last Summer Activity

The summer is quickly winding down but we were determined to get to the splash pad this year before it closes for the season.  This summer has gone by way too quick!  Since mommy has Fridays off, nae nae met us at the splash pad so we could enjoy one last summer water activity!  Jaden surprised us all by going in the water and even playing a bit!  Most of the time he is a lot like mommy and prefers to watch from the sidelines rather than get wet!

Avery chillin wearing my glasses!

We love our nae nae

Sometimes we are in silly moods and ask mommy to take pictures of us.  She loves her pictures so she gets all excited and runs to find her camera!

Avery's New Beginning

Avery experienced her first day of daycare on Monday.  Avery did great and was all smiles.  Mom wasn't as excited and was even less thrilled with the new staff in the infant room but everyone survived.  Dad picked Avery up after a half day just so Avery wasn't overwhelmed with 10.5hrs after never being left for more than a couple hours with someone else.  Mom is hoping that she will warm up to the staff but she really misses the wonderful ladies that Jaden and I were lucky enough to have apart of our lives when we started.  First morning down and many more to come....

My 1st Birthday Party for a Friend

Today I attended my first birthday party for one of my friends.  She goes to daycare with me but we are also in the same gymnastics class.  I wasn't sure what to expect but it was so much fun!  We got a tutu and made tiaras.  There was a bounce house and lots of food!

Jaden loves to dress up but this time he decided it was "cooler" to wear the tiara upside down!

Our New Backyard Addition

Mom and dad (as I now call them), decided that this summer would be a good time to add to our backyard.  Since we are both at good ages to enjoy swings, climbing and slides, mom and dad have been looking into playsets.  They always said that they wouldn't buy one since we have a park so close but after this summer, they changed their minds.  They said that this is just another thing added to the list of "we never planned to do this but kids change everything".

After lots of thought, measuring and trying out various options, it was decided that this was "the one".  Mommy was attracted to the tire swing since she had one growing up and loved it!  Our yard isn't huge so daddy ended up doing exactly what he didn't want to do.....moving the sandbox.  The area is still a work in progress but we are loving the playset and will years to come!  We can't wait to get Avery in a baby swing next spring!
