Our Yearly Holiday Tradition: Festival of Lights

Each year, we bundle up and take a ride through the Festival of Lights at the fairgrounds.  There is a wonderful, updated display of lights that we first drive through.  Jaden and I were really excited about it this year!  Mommy thought it was so neat to see our enthusiasm!

 

Next we get out of the car and there are all sorts of activities including a chance to see Santa!  I promised mommy and daddy that I would sit on his lap as long as Avery did.  Jaden hovered by mommy and wanted nothing to do with it.  He did take a candy cane from Mrs. Claus though so maybe next year he will sit with Santa!

 

There are crafts, music and even a train ride.  We really wanted to go on the train so even though the line was long, we waited.  Avery was fascinated by all the lights and stimulation but she was cold and tired by the end so we needed to leave.

This was a fun family night out filled with "firsts" and memories.  That's one of the best things about family time!
