Cuties

We have had random pictures this week so mommy compiled all the "phone pics" from the past week or so...

We love running and riding around the circle in our house.  We rotate the vehicles and even Avery gets in on the mix.  This week, Jaden and I were riding our motorcycles while mommy pushed Avery in Jaden's big truck.  Avery giggles up a storm when she is in there going fast!

Next, Avery pulls herself up on everything now.  She loves using our cars to push herself around.  Everyone is impressed with how well she does and how quick she is!

After gymnastics this week, Jaden and I wanted to go play at grandma's so daddy, mommy and Avery ran some errands and grabbed a bite to eat.  Avery is such a good girl.  She ate her own lunch and sat nicely for most of the meal!  Mommy and daddy thought it was a breeze only having one kiddo with them!

Lastly, Jaden got his haircut this weekend.  He has been saying that he doesn't want it cut but with Easter next week, daddy thought he should have it trimmed.  The girls at the salon think he is adorable.  They asked him if he wanted gel and he responds, "yeah, sure".  He likes his spiky hair!

Daddy's Birthday

Daddy's birthday fell in the middle of the week this year so we waited to celebrate it this weekend.  When daddy was away for work a few weeks ago, mommy cleaned and redecorated his bathroom like he had asked for.  When he returned home, he walked into a clean, fresh looking bathroom!  Jaden and I made the birthday sign for him!

Daddy's family came over today to celebrate with us.  We had lunch and cupcakes!  Jaden and I were super excited to meet little D too!  Mommy kept thinking that little D was Avery when she looked quick.  It makes us realize how big Avery is now!  It was nice to have us all together again.  This winter has been hard on all of us and we haven't seen much of eachother!

Grandma K also stopped over to visit and give daddy his birthday presents.  We all helped to open the gifts and even Avery got in the mix this time!

Happy Birthday Daddy!  We hope it was a good one!  You certainly deserve it!

EAster Celebrations

Since things are always so busy, we celebrated Easter early with grandpa Vince and grandma Sue.  We always love the trinkets that they find for us!  We also always look forward to the "apple chips" that they bring us!

It was also grandpa Vince's birthday today!  Happy Birthday grandpa!

We were trying to color with grandma but Avery kept trying to take our crayons and pictures.  We get very frustrated with this and can't understand why she can't just play off to the side on her own!

Our Busy Body

Our little Avery is such a busy body.  She is always on the go and has to know what is going on at all times.  If she is sleeping and hears a noise, her head pops up and she is awake instantly.  Now that she is mobile, if she hears something, she is off to see what it is.

I love that Avery can interact more now.  I play with her all the time.  Avery loves the attention, mommy loves that she can get some other things done and I love having a play mate that I can boss around again :-)

Mommy thought that it would be fun to try to get some updated kid photos since we haven't done it in a long time.  Avery wanted nothing to do with sitting still.  Mommy gave up but Jaden and I still got rewarded since we cooperated nicely.

Watching the kids outside and waiting for Grandpa Vince and Grandma Sue.

Sesame Street Live

While daddy, mommy and Avery visited Little D, grandma K and nae nae took me and Jaden to Sesame Street Live!  I told mommy that I was too old for it but once I was there, I had a blast!  We haven't stopped talking about it since.  We are very lucky to have grandma K and nae nae who take us to all these cool places!

Mommy and daddy got to finally meet little D today!  We have all been so sick, we didn't get to visit until now.  Mommy said that he is such a cutie and slept the whole time they were there!  Mommy said that seeing and holding little D makes Avery seem huge!  We can't wait until Jaden and I can meet him next week.  We made lots of pictures and art projects for him!  He is a loved little boy already!

The Circus

It has been awhile since we had a family outing.  It is a lot of effort to go anywhere with the 3 of us so we have stayed in way more than what we used to.  Mommy saw that the circus was coming to town and since it was close by, we decided to check it out.  We have never been to a circus but have heard about it through TV shows.  When mommy asked us, we were excited to go!

Jaden does not like large, loud crowds so he typically gets real quiet, soaks everything in and then talks non-stop about it after.  This time was no different!  I really enjoyed myself and wanted to stay the entire time.  We made it for the 3 hours that it lasted!  Avery was great as long as mommy was walking with her in the back and watching while standing up.  It was very crowded and hot tin the seats.  Avery prefers to be moving, cool and have her own space.  She did awesome though for such a long show!

Watch Me Grow: Avery 10 months

This month we feel like we are almost "there" on so many levels!  We have almost survived the first year with having 3 kids, mommy has survived almost a year of breastfeeding and her crazy limited diet, Avery is almost walking, eating "real" food and even weaning off her reflux medication!  A lot has happened this past month; some good and some not so good.  This month has been rough as far as sickness and this forever lasting winter.  It is hard to get out to do much of anything because of the snow and cold but then in turn, we are constantly sick so if we have a chance to get out, plans have been cancelled a lot.  Avery also had her surgery this month to put tubes in her ears.  The procedure itself went great but Avery and mommy got very sick after.
Avery continues to develop such a little personality.  She makes sure that Maggie knows that she doesn't appreciate the kisses on the face, she pushes things away and waves her hand telling us that she is all done eating, she thinks it is a game to throw her sippy, bottle and binky, and she prefers to pull up and stand over anything else.  She loves walking with mommy holding her hands.  She giggles more than ever and even tries to play peek-a-boo with Jaden and I.  She gets mad if Jaden and I take something from her.
This month, Avery has started to hold her own bottle, drinks regularly from a sippy and is preferring bite sized food pieces over any pureed food.  She has crawling mastered and is now working on walking.  She can easily pull herself up on almost everything.  She is attached to her CeCe (lovey) but hasn't taken to any blanket like Jaden and I did.  Unfortunately, she is still working on not wanting to eat during the night.  Mommy and daddy really look forward to her sleeping a bit better but overall she is doing awesome!  Each day becomes a bit easier and watching Avery grow into a little girl is a wonderful experience!

Avery wanted no part of sitting next to her doggie for the picture this month.  As soon as mommy would place her, she was off to the races and interested in something other than looking at mommy for a picture!  Happy 10 months Princess!
