Our family is about to expand and not with another doggie...with another baby! I'm going to be a big sister! I'm not sure what that means yet or if I will like this new role but atleast I will always have a playmate at home! Mommy and daddy said that the new baby should be coming in September. We will be about 17 months apart. As if the house wasn't already taken over by me, it is only about to get even more chaotic. Mommy and daddy will surely be out numbered between the furry children and the 2 legged children! Now you'll definitely want to keep checking the blog since I'm sure there will be many funny posts about all the crazy stuff that will be happening!

My Birthday Comes Early!
So as many of you already know, mommy and daddy have a hard time waiting for anything! I guess they enjoyed celebrating daddy's and grandpa C's birthday so much that they wanted to give me one of my birthday presents 3 weeks early! I'm such a busy body that they thought I would enjoy a little playhouse. We are going to put it on the deck when the awning is up but for now, I get to play with it inside! It's only partly put together but I really enjoy playing around with the tools, crawling in and out and opening the little door! Mommy left the one picture big so everyone could see my smile! Thanks mommy and daddy for not being able to keep secrets!

Birthday Weekend!
This weekend was daddy's 30th birthday and it was grandpa C's birthday! I got to see lots of family and had so much fun! Since daddy is always so good to me, I decided to be such a good girl this weekend so he could relax and enjoy his special day! This was the first time that both families were all together and I would go to and play with everyone without crying! Aunt Heather made an awesome cake and everyone spoiled daddy for his special day! He says that he is officially an old man!

Happy Birthday grandpa C! I really enjoy watching out your back window! Mommy thought it was so cool that you and grandma Sue cleared the table for me to play on!

Watch Me Grow-11 months old!!
I'm 11 months today and growing all the time! I'm still a peanut but have a lot of fiestyness! My personality is really developing and I know exactly what I want and don't want! I will push things away with authority to make sure everyone knows that I don't want it or I wail my hands and fuss when I can't get something that I do want. I have learned how to wave bye and hi. I also am working on saying "ma ma" but don't direct it at mommy quite yet. I'm walking along furniture and around toys but have not taken any steps on my own yet but I'm close! I'm a pro and going up stairs now but haven't tried to go down yet. I really enjoy walking with someone holding my hands. Mommy and daddy say that they are amazed by me everyday!
Since I have soy and milk allergies, it has been a struggle finding things for me to eat. I have been refusing my bottle more and more which creates a complex! Mommy and daddy have done lots of research and went shopping over the weekend to a special health food store. They bought me lots of stuff that I can try! Mommy is also being creative and changing lots of ingredients in recipes. She is learning to make a big batch and freeze some. So far, I'm not a fan of the kind of bread that I can eat but I do love cheerios, kix and cantaloupe! Mommy also makes awesome apple cinnamon pancakes and strawberry muffins that I gobble up! Everyone continues to hope that I out grow these allergies but for now, mommy has begun my very own cookbook!

Popsicles!
Daddy and mommy love the Edy's Fruit Popsicles..they seem to think they are healthy but yet they are still loaded with sugar! Anyway, I also love the popsicles! Everytime I see daddy getting one and sitting down, I stop what I'm doing and crawl over to him. I make my way ontop of him and reach to steal the popsicle! I used to be real good and wait patiently for daddy to give me some but now I just grab for what I want and get mad when I don't get it!

So the Games Begin..
I have figured out a new game....the game that mommy and daddy have been dreading since before I even arrived! The game of me throwing my food on the floor for the doggies! When I have had enough of sitting in my highchair, I now take the food and throw it over the side. The doggies love it because they come scrambling to get the pieces. The more they scramble, the more I think it is funny and do it more! Koda even sits underneath my highchair now waiting for the droppings! Mommy and daddy are hoping that this is a quick phase that I will outgrow soon!
1st Night Apart
This week mommy left me overnight for the first time. She had to go away for work so I stayed home with daddy! I always love spending time with daddy so 1 night was no big deal! I was all smiles and giggles when I saw mommy walk thru the door after she got back though..she said that it was the best feeling to be home eventhough it was only 1 night! I guess it is a good thing that things went smoothly because she needs to leave again in the couple months.
