Happy Easter!

Our Easter was nothing like what mommy had planned but atleast we enjoyed our time together!  Next year we hope to get out to all the places that we love to visit for Easter festivities!

After nap, mommy took me over to nae nae's.  Daddy brought Jaden out later after he woke up which is a great sign that he is on the road to recovery!  We love nae nae's house since she has so much for us to do there and so much room to run around!  Good company, good food and memories are what make a holiday special!  We hope everyone had a nice Easter!

What a Week!

So we thought last week was rough, little did we know what was ahead!  We finally got answers to my sickness late this week.  I was one very sick little girl.  After being tested 3 times for strep, it finally came back positive.  Not even a day later, Jaden began having very similar symptoms.  When he developed a bad cough over night, mommy said that he was going to the doctor and she wasn't leaving until they gave her a script for him this time!  So, off she went with Jaden to the doctor, the 4th time in 1 week and sure enough, not only did he also have strep but he had somehow developed bronchitis.  His was caught early so we are all hoping for a speedy recovery.  Let's hope we can get to some Easter activities next year!  This year we will be opening our windows and getting lots of rest.
   

Egg Dying

Since we have been stuck home the last several days, we decided to at least try something fun as a family at home!  We made some hard-boiled eggs and dyed them for Easter!  No one but mommy eats the eggs so we only made a few this year but I enjoyed the little activity!  It was Jaden's first time doing this so he was pretty excited!  He wanted to throw the eggs rather than put them in the dye but he still had fun helping :)

One of Those Weeks...

Well, not every week can be all fun.  After daddy's birthday on Tuesday, things certainly took a turn for the "less than good finish to the week".  First Jaden was sick but thankfully didn't get the brunt of it since he is already on an antibiotic.  On Thursday, Koda had surgery on his mouth and lost 3 more teeth than planned, and then I got really sick that night.  Friday it was a trip to the doctor.  Grandma K had even taken off work on Friday so I could sleep over her house Thursday night and then we could all go to the Botanical Gardens on Friday.  Instead, I've been stuck home all weekend with very high temperatures.  Mommy was so worried about me..two nights in a row my temperature spiked at 106 and 104.  Every time my temperature goes down, I won't eat or drink so at the moment, it's a battle we haven't won but hopefully soon!

Daddy's Birthday!

Daddy took off on his birthday this year so we could all spend it together and so daddy could actually see how fun Rolly Pollies is!  We started the day off by mommy and I making a big chocolate chip cookie.  Then we let daddy open his last gift from us.  He had already opened the rest of his gifts well before his birthday arrived.

 

 

 Later in the day, we decided to grab lunch at Pizza Hut and then head out to Rolly Pollies!  It was fun having daddy there along with mommy!  He is crazier than mommy so he always makes us laugh!  Our favorite activity this time was the trampoline-we probably spent have the time running back and forth.  Mommy even raced me on it!

Watch Jaden Grow-18 months

Everyone in our family on mommy's side shares a birthday with some kind of holiday.  Jaden shares his 1/2 birthday with daddy!  Jaden is officially 18 months old!  He has such a personality-knows what he wants, lets everyone know when he isn't happy, loves to cuddle, is so inquisitive, adventurous and keeps everyone smiling! 
Jaden has become a good sleeper-he often sleeps til 8am when it is not a daycare day.  He loves music and dancing.  He also loves Mickey Mouse, especially Goofy and Minnie.  He runs everywhere and knows a lot of words.  He knows sign language for certain words like "more" but is beginning to share his vocabulary with the rest of us!  I enjoy trying to get him to talk and copy mommy and daddy in "quizzing" him with words!  He is finally off his special formula and bottles!  Jaden loves riding my bike, kicking the soccer ball and has a strong throw!  We all love Jaden so much!
