Daddy's DAy!

I've been keeping busy as always!  This weekend, we visited with grandpa Vince & grandpa Sue to celebrate Father's Day a little early.  I love exploring all the new things that I'm not supposed to get into at their place!  They would love for me to sit with them in the worst way but I just won't cooperate yet!  My favorite game was to run to the back room but I would look back about 1/2 way down the hall to make sure they were chasing after me!

Today I gave daddy my special gift that I worked hard on with mommy!  Mommy and daddy then went to breakfast with grandpa Christie while I napped at home with grandma K!  When they got home, we got to spend the day just hanging around the house and playing outside!  We don't get to do this too often since we are always on the go somewhere!  I really enjoyed my first time playing with chalk.  Daddy taught me how to do it and I quickly got the idea!  I haven't thought about putting it in my mouth yet but mommy said that it is only a matter of time!  Happy Father's Day to my bestest daddy in the whole world!

Visit with Great-Grandma

This week I got to visit with my great-grandma Jean!  I don't get to see her too often but she seems to think I'm funny when I go there!  She is the only one who seems to think that I'm tall so that makes me giggle too!  It's a long ride to see grandma Jean and I don't do so well with that but as soon as we get out of the car, I forget about the ride and become my comical self!  Mommy couldn't get too many pictures since I preferred to run the hallways instead of sitting quietly in the little sitting area with my toys!  Thank goodness for aunt Nae who kept chasing me down so mommy could sit and rest a bit!

My Baby Doll

Everyone keeps telling me that I'm going to be a big sister soon so I am trying real hard to practice!  Mommy says that I have such a great personality and she loves me for it!  I really like to share and love even though I do not enjoy cuddling!  The other day, a little boy at daycare was crying so I walked over to him and gave him my special "BB".  Mommy said that her heart melt and that she was so proud of me!  Mommy and grandma K noticed that I didn't have any dolls so grandma K dug some out of the attic and mommy took me shopping to find a special one.  At first, I didn't seem to care all that much but within the last week, I love my dollie!  I carry her everywhere and give her kisses all the time!  I'm gonna be a good big sister to little Jaden!

Today we went over to grandma K's house and had some fun at a park near her home!  My favorite thing at the parks so far are the swings but then we came acrosee this teeter-totter thing and it was so awesome!  I thought it was so funny that we were going up and down and mommy was on the other side going the opposite!  Daddy is such a good daddy..he takes me down the slides and plays with me all the time!  We even went to Dairy Queen to eat some goodies!  I don't eat much but I sure enjoyed the popsicle you will see in the picture! Lots of fun on this beautiful day!

Checking Out Jaden's Things

Every since we have begun to get my little brother's room cleaned out and ready for him, I have become extremely interested in playing in there!  I even want to go into my old toys like the swing and jumper.  My newest focus is his bookcase/toy bins.  I love to pull out the bins and climb right in!  Mommy made the mistake of thinking it was the cutest thing the first time I did it and took me for a ride while I was in the little bin.  Now, when I go upstairs, this is the first thing I head toward!

Rotate Toy Time

As many of you know, I'm a very inquisitive little girl and I get bored very easily.  A while back, mommy thought of the idea of having 4 bins of toys in the basement and bringing up one each week so the toys seem new to me! This idea has worked great so each Friday night the new bin of toys comes up and I get to check them all out before I go to bed!

My new trick this week is learning to climb everything.  My favorite thing to do is be a big girl and sit at my play table.  I try really hard to climb on the chair but still don't quite get the idea of being able to turn around on the chair.  Once I get that down, I will be good to go since I can cautiously get off the chair.  I really love to give everyone a hard time and keep getting off the chair just to turn around and try to get right back on!
