Dressing Up

This year, we went trick n treating at the Galleria Mall since I'm kind of little to go to far around my neighborhood.  I had a great time and even wore my costume without complaining!  My brother slept the entire time!  I enjoyed carrying my special pumpkin around collecting the candy from each table and thought it was crazy seeing so many people dressed up!

On Saturday, we celebrated aunt nae's birthday which is actually on Halloween.  Since I love Mickey Mouse so much, she thought I would enjoy her dressing up as Mickey.  She was wrong.  I was scared at first but after a while, I was curious and dragged her around by the tail!  Once she took it off, I kept handing it to her and was very interested!

The Bouncy Ball is Back

When I was a baby, the main way to keep me calm was for everyone to bounce me on the big bouncy ball.  Mommy lost alot of her baby weight by doing this so it was a win win situation in many ways!  No one thought that this ball would need to come back out but in the last couple weeks, my brother hasn't been such a happy little guy and the ball returned as a main piece of furniture in our already crowded great room!  He likes it too and typically calms down while being bounced!  Let's hope it is only temporary!

When Jaden is looking for some stimulation, he doesn't have to look very far.  I'm always right there wanting and waiting to play with him!

Halloween Party!

Tonight was my daycare halloween party!  Mommy and daddy didn't think I would cooperate and wear my costume but once again, I surprised everyone and wore it without crying!  Mommy had tried it on earlier in the day and I just screamed and screamed so she was pleasantly surprised!  I made my own trick n treat bag with daddy's help while mommy held Jaden.  I even ate a donut and explored each "activity station".  I saw some of my friends from my class and my teachers from the infant room.  I think my favorite part was my tasty sucker!

This May Be Fun!

My little brother is so small at this point, there isn't much to do with him.  Since I always want to help, mommy thought it might be fun to put Jaden in my little doll stroller.  Boy, I had a ball with this!  I got to push him all around the house!

Just Like Mommy

For the past couple months, my biggest interest is babies and copying mommy.  I like to do everything she does with Jaden.  I even "burp" my babies and have them do tummy time on the playmat.  I really like playing with Jaden's carseat the most though.  When mommy was out doing some xmas shopping the other day, she bought me a 6 piece kit that has a doll size car seat, high chair, pack-n-play and bouncer.  Out of all my other toys, I love these things!  I do get a bit frustrated at times when I can't get the buckles on/off but as long as someone helps me, I'm one happy girl!

I really want Jaden to play with me but since he just doesn't get it yet, I decided to read to him like mommy and daddy read to me!

Jaden loves sleeping on his tummy!  Since daddy was cuddling with Jaden the other night before bed, I decided that I wanted his attention too and cuddled with them!

(Jaden ) Watch Me Grow-1 month old!!

My little brother, Jaden, is one month old already!  He is growing so fast and is already wearing 0-3 clothes.  I was in my newborn clothes for a couple months when I was born!  We had our doctor appointments today.  Jaden got a good review.  He is a tad over 8 lbs and is now 22 in long.  He sleeps about 5-6 hours at night and is doing well with beginning to lift his head.  The doctor told mommy that he needs to practice using his lungs and learn that he doesn't need to be held all the time.  Mommy hates the thought of either of us crying but she told the doctor that she may lose her mind trying to keep me and Jaden happy all the time!  After all, we do crave alot of attention!

(Alexis) Watch Me Grow- 18 months!!

18 months is a big deal!  I'm such a big girl now-well, kind of!  Physically, I'm still a peanut falling off the chart of all the average measurements but in every other way, mommy says I'm a big girl doing so many great things!  I still haven't reached the 20 lb mark so the doctor told mommy and daddy to feed me all sorts of stuff that adults should stay away from.  I guess I will be getting more of my favorite McDonald's hamburgers!  I also get to begin trying real milk mixed with my special formula.  Mommy is scared but excited since this could change alot of food options for me!  We will see how it goes this weekend!  Developmentally, I'm right on target ...I can answer questions, I say words, can make choices, follow simple directions and understand basic conversation.  Mommy says that I pick up so much more than she could have ever imagined!

My favorite thing to do at the moment is to play pretend with my dolls.  I copy everything that mommy does with Jaden.  I even have daddy swaddle my baby dolls!  I also love to play chase and climb on everything.  I've taken a few tumbles off the couch but am back on my feet in no time.  If I get a "boo boo", I show everyone saying and pointing "boo boo".  I have also learned how to go down stairs.  I have been able to climb up stairs for a long time but someone had always carried me back down.  Now that Jaden is around, mommy's hands are usually full so they finally let me try to go down on my own.  They watched me closely though since I often get distracted!  

I have lots of changes in my life right now.  First my brother entered my life about a month ago.  Then I moved up to the toddler 2 room at daycare.  Now we are trying various foods that I haven't been able to have my entire life until now.  Mommy says that I'm doing great and am a really good sport. She says that I have also become more cuddly and sensitive.  I like to sit on laps and look at my books!

Mommy says that I have changed so much in the past 18 months and she can't wait to see what I have in store for her in the future!

Jaden's 1st Bath

My brother is starting to get into a routine just like me.  Mommy gives him a bath each night while daddy gives me my bath.  Daddy is so much more fun than mommy when it comes to my baths so I don't mind that she is busy with Jaden during this time!  Jaden didn't like his baths at first and mommy said that she thinks the water may have been a bit chilly for his liking.  Now that they worked out the whole water temperature thing, he loves his baths and just hates getting out and dressed!  Jaden definitely prefers to be snuggly and warm!

Sleepy Beauty

My brother is not much fun at this point.  It seems like all he does is sleep, eat and cry.  Here are some pictures of the little guy doing what he does best...sleep!  He always seems to have his hands up by his face, just like when he was in mommy's womb!

Pumpkin Patch!

Yesterday, mommy, aunt nae and grandma K took me to the pumpkin patch for the first time!  Daddy stayed home with Jaden and because there were construction guys working on my playroom in the basement.  It was a really long car ride for me but I was a good girl!  I've been more subdued than usual but I still enjoyed myself.  I was in awe of all the orange pumpkins!  I also thought that the horses looked like doggies so I kept saying "doggie, doggie".  I liked the little pumpkins that I could carry the best but mommy said that next year I will probably want the biggest one around!
