Play Time!

Auntie Nicole and mommy have been friends since elementary school.  They think it is neat that us kids are all around the same age.  We also live about 10 minutes from eachother but with everyone's lives so busy, it is hard to find time to "just play".  Today was a good day.  We played over the weekend and again today!  Jaden and Carter are 5 months apart and Cole and Avery are only 5 weeks apart!  I'm the "big sister" to everyone but since I love this role, I enjoy this play time!

Avery's Baptism

This weekend was very busy but also very special.  Avery was baptized!  We celebrated at church with Sunday service and then our family came back to our house to celebrate!  Auntie Nicole graciously accepted to be Avery's Godmother and we all couldn't be happier!

Everyone said that Jaden and I were excellent at service!  We sat quietly the entire time and it was hot and crowded in the church!  Mommy and daddy said that they couldn't have asked for Jaden and I to be any better!  Avery was also a good girl as usual! Even with the hot heavy dress, she barely had a peep out of her!

After church, everyone came back for a picnic!  Auntie Nicole's family also joined us and we loved having a little playmate!

Grandma K made Avery's special cake!  She is becoming quite the expert in cake baking and design!

Avery was blessed with wonderful gifts on her big day so Jaden, Carter and myself helped to open them!  I colored Avery a few drawings that I then wrapped and gave her.  I was so excited and proud
 to give them to her!

Weekly Update

It has been a busy week of little things each day.  Tomorrow is Avery's Baptism so we have been busy cleaning and getting ready for that!

Most people probably would never guess this about me but I love to catch frogs!  When Jaden finds a frog, he comes to get me so I can catch it!

Last year we had made a paw print shaped stepping stone that included our hand prints and the dogs' paw prints.  Since we needed to add Avery's, we decided to redo the whole design again this summer.  We now have the middle stone with our footprints while each of the dogs have a paw print on their own concrete stone.

We also visited with grandpa Vince this week.  Mommy was holding Avery and didn't have a chance to take any pictures but it is so nice to be able to visit with him more often now that he is retired!

Later in the week, nae nae took Jaden and I to the zoo while mommy and Avery ran errands and cleaned around the house.  She also came back to go swimming with us!  We love our "nae nae" time!

Next up was our first time at a big movie theater!  There are special FREE movies this summer so we thought that this would be a good time to check it out!  Daddy loves movies so he took Jaden and I while mommy and Avery were getting food ready for Avery's big day this weekend!  While I enjoyed the movie, Jaden was not impressed and said that the "big TV" was scary!  We both sat nicely during the movie though!

Also this week, we had a playdate with our neighbors around the corner and we even heard the ice cream truck the one night!  We ran from the backyard to the end of the culd-a-sac in our bare feet just to make it in time!  I ordered a Hello Kitty popsicle while Jaden chose Spiderman!

Smiles and More Smiles

Mommy says that it is sooooo nice to have a baby that smiles and giggles!  We all fall in love over and over with Avery each time she gives us her little smile!  One of her favorite things to do is sit up and talk face to face with someone.  She especially thinks that me and mommy are funny!

This was a special week for me!  Now that Avery is taking bottles more often, I finally had my first chance to feed her!  I've been waiting for this day since before she was born!!!

Midway State Park

Today was the last Friday that daddy has off before mommy returns to work.  Since we couldn't go on a vacation this year, we decided that we would do something special as a family every week over the summer.  It has been great because there is something to look forward to each week and we are learning about all sorts of things around the Buffalo region.

This week, as our "big" special trip, we visited Midway State Park.  It's about an hour south of us so not a bad ride for Jaden and I but Avery screamed 80% of the trip.  She hates the car which makes any type of trip very difficult.  Thankfully mommy and daddy are used to this since Avery is the 3rd baby that screamed most of the time in the car.  The big difference though, Avery stops screaming as soon as we arrive at the destination and is a happy little girl while at the place!

What an awesome little jewel this park is.  It's a perfect size for us little tikes!  Almost all the rides are for kids our age and adults can go on most if we want!  There are no lines, lots of shade and free parking!  We had a blast!  My favorite was the roller coaster even though mommy said that it was very rough.  Mommy and I also loved the Tilt a Whirl.  Daddy and Jaden preferred the train.  Jaden and I shocked mommy and daddy by going right onto the rides and even wanting to go alone!

We really couldn't have asked for a better day!
