Mommy Activities vs Daddy Activities

Mommy and daddy often do very different activities with us and this is why we love both of them!  Daddy does the rough, chasing, tackling, tickling kind of stuff while mommy cuddles, colors, pretends and does crafty type activities with us!

Daddy:  little hockey in the basement and a marching band

 Mommy:  making paper dolls

Catching Up

Mommy says that she is losing track of time now that she is off and is never rushing to get anywhere.  We are used to our family outings on the weekends but life has certainly slowed down in the last few weeks.  We now enjoy our toys at home a lot...good thing we have a fun basement to play in!

Jaden and I get to run lots of errands with daddy now.  This time it was just Jaden and daddy and he was in his glory with his special daddy time!

Daddy tries to get us out sometimes so last week we took a visit to our favorite place, Rolly Pollies!

This weekend, we visited grandma and grandpa Christie to celebrate their birthdays!

Grandma K came over to visit also and set up mommy's sewing machine so she could sew me some doll undies!  My baby dolls are learning how to use the potty so I don't use so many diapers!

How Quickly Things can Change

This week has been a reminder how quickly things can change.  As everyone knows, mommy is pregnant with our baby sister Avery.  She has been feeling great and very active!  Everything changed Sunday night.  She is now on bed rest at the risk of Avery arriving way too early.  We have been blessed by all the overwhelming support and help this week!  Daddy is doing an amazing job but he still needs to go to work so we have had play time with others too!  He has tried to keep us busy all the while doing the other stuff in the house to keep it running!  Today we helped him shovel the driveway so we could burn off some energy. He even helped us with an art project!

We also slept over at grandma K's one night this week and went to Explore and More!

Nae nae and grandma even took us to lunch!

We are so thankful for everyone's support and prayers.  It means a lot!  We hope that mommy will be back on her feet soon and Avery will decide that it's cozy in mommy's tummy and stay there for a while!

Friends!

This weekend, we were lucky enough to spend some time with daddy's cousin and her family.  With all of our busy lives, it is difficult to get together often but we certainly love the time when we are able!  I was in my glory with all of the baby dolls that Chelsea has and Jaden learned about all new "boy" toys from Spencer that he doesn't have at home!  Mommy and daddy said that it was a lot of fun to be able to sit and have an "adult" conversation while we all played!  We all made a big mess playing but it so much fun and we didn't want to leave!

Blizzard 2014

A blizzard?  Oh man!  It certainly was nasty out there this week!  Daycare was even closed and they never close!  The good thing was that we were all home safe and together!  With being home so much, Jaden and I get a bit stir crazy.  Mommy and daddy tried real hard with keeping us busy and active!  We painted a lot, watched lots of Wiggles, made a big tent in the great room, I dressed and undressed all my babies many times and lots of games and books!  We all made it through and it was good to get out later in the week to Rolly Pollies and nae nae's house to burn off some energy!

Rolly Pollies with daddy!

A picnic with many many little friends :)

Ice Skating

Jaden and I went ice skating for the 1st time today!  We didn't go planning for Jaden to go on the ice but brought his helmet just in case.  It was a good thing we did...he insisted on trying just like me!  He kept saying, "me skate like sissy".  We both did awesome!  I even tried skating all by myself without daddy's help!  Mommy couldn't go out there since baby Avery is in her tummy but next year for sure!  Daddy kept taking turns with taking us so he certainly got a workout!   We didn't want to leave but before we left, we watched the zamboni clean the ice.  We thought that was really neat too!  What a great time!
