New Beginnings!

This is a very exciting time for our family.  Not only are we expecting our little girl very soon but grandpa Vince is retiring and grandma K is moving closer to us!  This is certainly a year of new beginnings!  

A long time ago, I made grandpa Vince a count down chain to when he was retiring.  It was so long back then and now this is his first official day of retirement!  We are so happy and excited for him!

We never thought this day would actually happen.  Mommy and daddy have been trying to get grandma K to down size her house for many many years.  Just when we gave up and accepted that she would live in her house forever, she surprises us by telling us that she has put in an offer on a patio home.  What was even more exciting was that it is much closer to us!!  This news came back in October and this weekend was finally the day that everything was finalized!  Grandma K officially lives by us in a patio home!

 Congratulations to both on these exciting new adventures!

Birthday Crown

My birthday is coming up and since mommy has been very creative lately in trying to keep Jaden and I occupied while inside, she thought it may be fun to make a birthday crown for me to wear!  I love my crafts so I was super excited about the idea!  I painted it, decided on beads and colors and even glued everything!  I can't wait to wear it in a couple weeks!

Family Pictures

For each pregnancy, mommy and daddy always have a few pictures taken so they can add them to the baby's memory book.  We weren't sure if we were going to have the chance to do it this time with everything going on in this pregnancy.  As always, mommy was determined to do the same for each child so today we got ready and went out!  Jaden and I did so awesome that we even went for ice cream after!  Mommy said that for both Jaden and I, about 2 weeks after doing the pictures, we arrived so we will see.  Let's hold out a little longer baby Avery!

Since Jaden and I did so well, mommy decided it was a good time to have some updated pictures of us too!

Daddy's Birthday!

Can you believe that we didn't even see daddy on his birthday???  We celebrated today instead!  We painted, glued and practiced writing when making his big, special cupcake card!  Daddy is so special to us so we hope that he at least enjoyed some "home" time with us to celebrate his big day! 

 

 Daddy loves pumpkin pie so that is what we made him this year!

A New Car???

Back in the summer, mommy and daddy were looking for a car that would be more practical and family friendly.  After a lot of debate, they took the plunge and decided on a minivan.  We have had our other car, the Escape for over 7 years and never thought twice about turning it in any time soon.  Mommy and daddy thought that they would just keep the Escape until Jaden and I were out of daycare. 

Well...things never go as planned.  Problems started when it wouldn't pass inspection and it spiraled after that.  Last week, a little oil leak turned into thousands of dollars so we needed to make a quick decision whether to keep it or turn it in.  Needless to say, this last week has been a whirlwind and we now have a Toyota Camry.  We even figured out the whole "how to fit 3 car seats into a car" dilemma.  It has certainly not been a fun week and we have really missed daddy being around but ultimately mommy and daddy are confident in their decision!

Weekly Updates

It was so nice to get outside a couple days this week!  We even saw our friend from daycare up at the park!  We also worked on a couple St. Patrick's Day projects and even found lots of time for play station with daddy.  We also helped grandma K pack since she is moving in only a couple weeks!  Both Jaden and I were awesome helpers!

 

 

 

There has been progress on Avery's room and we are hopeful that it will be done by my birthday!  Mommy says that it is certainly close to Avery arriving.  She is really hoping to have everything set before baby arrives but we all have our doubts!

I also loved helping mommy wash, fold and put away all of the clothes for Avery!  I was in my glory and so so excited about doing this!  Mommy often catches me sorting through the wash basket that has all her clean clothes that will need to be hung in her closet.  I even went through my baby dolls stuff and set aside "baby" things for Avery.  We have set special time each night before bed when Jaden and I lay with mommy to feel Avery moving.  I ask so many questions and even know how many ounces a baby needs and how often to feed her now!  I really can't wait! 

1:1 Time!

Mommy and daddy thought it would be a good day to have special 1:1 time.  We are all concerned about Jaden so we thought that if daddy took him to see his favorite sea lion show at the aquarium, that he would have fun and forget about his mouth.  It did help but "Blu" remains to be an essential partner for his mouth right now.  At least for moments he enjoyed himself, laughed and smiled!

 While daddy and Jaden were at the aquarium, I had special time with mommy at home.  She let me choose anything I wanted to do so of course I chose to paint a project!  I really wanted to make something for Avery's room and I have been asking about doing it for a little bit now.  Mommy thought that this was a good time to do it!  We decided to make a giraffe!  I painted all the pieces that mommy cut out and then we glued them together!  I also made shamrocks for St. Patty's Day coming up.  I was excited about this since mommy actually let me use scissors!

Outside Fun

Finally, a day that we could actually get outside for a bit!  Nae nae took us up to the park today so we could get some fresh air!  It felt so good to get outside and run around a bit!

**If you are wondering why Jaden has "Blu" in his mouth in every picture-it is because he is having all sorts of trouble with his mouth right now and by biting Blu, it helps to relieve some pain**
