Water Fun!

This past weekend was so much fun for me and I tried all sorts of new things!  Not only did I have a blast on Saturday with mommy and daddy but I got to visit with my whole family this weekend (except grandam K who I missed alot)!  Since the warm weather finally decided to arrive, mommy and daddy brought out all these new toys for me to play with in the yard.  I wasn't so sure of the pool at first since I'm used to warm bath water but after awhile and with some coaxing, I decided it wasn't so bad.  Being the daredevil that I am, I thought it was more funny to try to climb up the hippo slide rather than ride down it.  The one time, I fell and my head got wet.  Mommy was not happy and of course worried about water in my ears (she said that she was traumatized when she was little because she had so many ear infections and that is why she is not a big fan of swimming to this day!). I still had fun and kept trying to do it over and over. 

There is also this huge ball that I like to push around the yard.  It is supposed to be a sprinkler and Bandit really enjoyed himself but I hated it when the water was coming out of it so daddy of course turned off the water for me. 

My other favorite game right now is bubbles.  I'm not sure who loves bubbles more-me or the doggies.  Mommy and daddy love the bubble game too since the doggies run and run and then don't have as much energy when we go inside!  The next couple months should be so much fun if it is anything like this weekend!

                                                               

Another favorite game of mine...feeding the doggies.  I'd much rather feed my food to the doggies than eat it myself.  In these pictures, daddy was giving me watermelon.  I would take a couple bites and then offer it to koda and maggie.  I think this is the funniest thing and giggle so hard.  Mommy thinks that I purposely do it since she doesn't like it.

Family Day!

I had such a fun day with mommy and daddy today!  Since the weather hasn't cooperated with being outside all that much, mommy and daddy decided to risk the long car ride out to East Aurora so we could go to Explore & More.  It's a children's museum/play place.  I wasn't the best car rider on the way there but loved it once we got inside!  Daddy let me get out of my stroller and I just ran from one play area to the next!  I was so amazed by all the kids and all the stimulation around me!  My favorite area was with the music where I could test my skills with a couple different instruments.  I also loved the "baby garden" where there were mats everywhere that I could climb all over.  I'm such a climber these days and have no fear of falling which drives mommy crazy!
I was such a good girl that we went to the Fisher Price store where I got to pick out a new toy!  We also found a neat little monkey bank for my little brother, Jaden's room.  Mommy and daddy love their ice cream so we stopped for some on the way home but I tried a cherry slushie since I can't have any ice cream.  I still wanted some of mommy's but was much more content with having something for myself!  What a great day!

My 1st Trip to the Zoo!

We finally got to go to the zoo today!  We have been waiting and waiting but the weather just hasn't wanted to cooperate!  The trip didn't start off so well when daddy got mad at mommy for complaining about the parking or from what she said...lack of parking!  We walked and walked but finally got there.  Mommy said she was worried that I wouldn't last too long since finding a parking spot took so long!  Mommy and daddy are funny :-)  Anyway, I was on my best behavior and seemed intrigued by the animals and by all the people!  I just looked around, pointed and said "hi" to everyone.  I didn't want to wear my hat but mommy loaded me up with some kind of lotion that she called sunblock.  Since I was such a perfect little angel the whole time, mommy and daddy let me down in the store and let me pick out a new stuffed animal!  I ran around going from one to the other but finally decided on the pink/purple monkey!  I was so exhausted that I fell asleep on the way home so mommy and daddy got to stop for icecream!  What a fun family day!!!

Watching Daddy

My new adventure has been watching daddy cut the grass!  As soon as I'm steady enough walking on the grass, mommy said that she could see me outside with daddy following him with the lawn mower!  For now, mommy keeps me inside and I watch from the front door!  I bang on the door and say "hi" over and over until daddy sees me and waves!  Mommy thinks it is too cute!

Finally Getting Outside!

Since this week finally brought some nice weather, I got to play outside quite a bit!  Daddy even filled my sandbox with pink and purple sand!  I'm not too sure of the sand yet which mommy said that she is surprised about since I seem to like to touch almost everything else with my hands!  We even went on a bunch of walks this week!  Mommy said that our family must be the entertainment for the neighborhood since she has never seen so many people slow down and gawk as we walk by.  It's like they have never seen a pregnant woman, a youngster along with 4 dogs walking before!  Too funny!  Mommy said that she prefers to walk 2 dogs at a time but I'm still not a huge fan of walking and she needs to make sure the doggies all get their exercise to burn some of that energy they all seem to have!  It's so much better when daddy is around to go for walks with us!
I also went on a play date this week!  Mommy took me to visit with daddy's cousin's kids that are around my size!  We went to this cool indoor play park where there were so many toys!  It kept my attention the whole time!  I really enjoyed the shaped mats that I could walk through and fall on!  Chelsea showed me how to feed a baby doll too!  I always enjoy playing with other kids!

Happy Mommy DAy!

This was mommy's big day!  I love her everyday but today I was extra good and we had lots of fun together!  I slept through the night, we made breakfast together, took the doggies for a walk, played outside and then aunt Nae and grandma K came over for dinner!  We even got to play at the park since the weather was so nice!  What a great day!  I gave mommy a special card from me and the doggies along with a box of chocolates and a bookmark with my picture on it.  Daddy helped me with it all but mommy seemed to really like it!

Big Sister

Guess what everyone....I'm gonna be a big sister to a brother!  Mommy told me that her gut feeling was right again!  She thought that she was having a girl when she was pregnant with me and this time she thought it was a boy!  Jaden Matthew is due late September and mommy can't believe she is almost half way already!  Now it is time to clean out the room and start decorating!  I was helping this morning and seem to really enjoy playing in a different crib!  Daddy is usually pretty low-key with everything but he sure is excited for a son to play hockey with!  I told him that I can play with him until Jaden is old enough-I'm pretty tough myself!
The big monkey in the pictures will be for taking the monthly pictures of Jaden to watch him grow like mommy did with me and Pooh Bear!
In the one picture you can probably see some of my teeth!  For some reason, I have had lots of teething going on...3 new teeth have poked through in the last week or so and the doctor says that more are probably on the way!  Mommy and daddy thought that my reflux was acting up but the doctor feels that it is teething.  Mommy found out that babies with reflux have increased symptoms while teething....boy it sure seems that this may be the case!  We are all keeping our fingers crossed that I can stay off my medicine!
I'm going to be such a good big sister.  I love to share and play with other kids.  If I'm playing with a toy, I always want to hand it over to who is sitting near me!  I'm going to be mommy's big helper!
