Each week, mommy likes to work on a special project with us. This week we decided it would be fun to paint, build and fill a bird feeder! We helped with each step and then hung it out front on our tree! Now we are hoping to see birds eating the food!

Spicing up my Room
Mommy has wanted to make my room a bit more special for a very long time but has never had the chance. Now that she is stuck home a lot more, she decided it was the time! I helped, watched and spent time with her while she worked on it. I even picked out the picture of what I wanted! She says that it is amazing all the little, fun things that can be accomplished when we aren't always racing from place to place! Avery is really teaching mommy about patience!
Next we added a magnetic board in my room. Avery will be using one of my dressers so I will have a little extra space. Mommy thought that I would enjoy this area since I'm really into letters, numbers and spelling. This area will be completed in another couple months after my birthday!
Since mommy finished, I want to sleep "under the rainbow" each night. Mommy snuck this picture of me and one of my babies sleeping the other night. |

Weekly Randoms
Jaden absolutely loves the Wiggles right now. He would watch it all day if mommy let him. It has actually been really good for him too since he learns all the words and dances to the songs. By singing the songs, he has increased his vocabulary and coordination! Mommy found this huge stuffed animal of Wags the Dog (Jaden's favorite) online. It was supposed to be for Easter but like daddy, she just couldn't wait so he got it early! It is as big as him and we both love it! Wags even sings which makes him that much more special!
Jaden and I love to have sleep overs in the great room. We usually do this about 1x/month. The doggies love it too since they get to sleep with all of us! This time Jaden even slept downstairs with us the whole night! Wags is sleeping between Jaden and I.

Getting Out
It looked so nice out so we decided it would be a good day to get out and visit some animals for a short bit! It was certainly cold but the sun and fresh air felt great! The zoo has a lot of construction right now but it was so nice to have the place very empty. We were able to watch the animals up close without being pushed out of the way. My favorite this time was the Gorillas, especially since there was a little baby gorilla! Jaden really enjoyed the meerkats and polar bears.

Indoor Sandbox
Today, Jaden and I were able to get out for a bit and we visited an indoor sandbox! We weren't sure what to expect but we enjoyed it! Jaden loves the sand so he dove right into building and filling a bucket. I was a little more hesitant about getting sand all over my clothes. I'm used to playing in the sand only in my summer clothes! After we got to ride a merry-go-round toy and ate some lunch! Finally a nice day out!

Happy Valentine's Day
Today is Valentine's Day! Jaden and I worked hard on making special Valentine's for each of our friends at daycare but mommy forgot to take a picture! We also worked hard on a special card for daddy. We are lucky to have such a loving daddy and wanted him to know that we certainly appreciate him!
We also received special stuff like cards, paint, shirts, books and of course some chocolate! I really enjoyed getting cards in the mail and even wanted to put them in my room on display. Mommy made us special heart waffles for breakfast today too! We are certainly lucky kids!
Our next project was to make frosted Valentine's day cookies! We mixed, rolled the dough and even cut out the hearts. Later in the day we frosted them! We had a blast but mommy wasn't so thrilled about the clean-up!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!
The Beginning of Another House Project
Mommy and daddy do not enjoy house projects like they used to. We debated about all sorts of options and fully researched this project before committing to anything. We needed a room for Avery when she arrives so we ultimately decided to add a bedroom onto the house along with another bathroom and linen closet. The time has finally come for the project to begin....we are anxious for it to be over but so far, so good.
New Skills
I learn lots of new skills at daycare and lately the focus has been letters. With mommy being stuck on the couch a lot, we have worked hard on learning to learn to write my name. After a month of hard work, it has paid off!! I now can write my own name all by myself!! Everyone is so proud of me and I'm even more proud of myself! Mommy thinks I'm going to be a very good student in school since I love to practice new skills until I can do it perfectly!

Weekend Time
Yesterday we got to spend the whole day with nae nae! We played at her house, went to the library and she even took us to lunch! We picked out lots of books to read with mommy on the couch and of course, Wiggles CDs! We were so tired that we actually fell asleep at her house for naps! What a fun day!
The next day, Jaden and daddy went for haircuts while I played in my room with all my babies. Mommy of course was laying on my bed. Jaden was so proud of his haircut when he got home that he couldn't wait to show it off! He does awesome with haircuts and even sits in the chair by himself. The ladies all love him since he is in there quite a bit with daddy!
Jaden and I have been growing like weeds lately so a lot of our clothes don't fit anymore. Today, we put away all of those clothes and got out the clothes and all the baby stuff that we will need for Avery. I was so excited to help mommy sort through the stuff! I'm very excited to be having a baby sister!
Daddy has been doing most of the house cleaning too. It is a good thing that Jaden absolutely loves to vacuum and help! I enjoy dusting and wiping down everything!
Today we did a little project to work on learning about diamonds, hearts and the colors pink and red. We enjoyed gluing and making headbands!
