Daddy's Hockey Game

I've been asking and asking to go see daddy play hockey.  Since he had an early game this week, mommy picked us up from daycare and we decided to try to make it!  It's a hike to get there but we made it just in time!  I was so excited to see daddy and kept asking where he was since everyone looks similar with their helmets on!  I was good the entire game and even Jaden was interested!  He kept pointing to the rink and wondering what was going on!

Week of Randoms...

This week, grandma K got to go with us to Rolly Pollies...unfortunately, it was very very crowded because all the kids had off from school.  Jaden didn't mind and pushed his way through to go right about his way.  I was a bit timid but I did try 2 new things!  I did the balance beam all by myself and I zipped-lined into the foam pit!  Jaden tried the rings and balance beam this time.  We always try at least 1 new thing each month we go!

 

 

I went shopping with mommy for daddy's birthday present a few weeks ago and since I do not understand that I shouldn't tell daddy what we shopped for, mommy gave daddy some of his gifts early!  This picture is of me trying on his new jeans and being silly!

 

 

We also got to visit with grandpa Vince this week!  Since Jaden is really getting into the Iphone and Ipad, we were trying to show grandpa how to use it!  He doesn't think it is as much fun as we do!

 

 



 



Butterflies!

Mommy did lots of research for this weekend's family fun day.  We try to have a special family outing at least once a month.  It's hard to get outside with this cold weather so it was time to look for something different inside!  She asked me whether I wanted to go to an indoor water park or to see butterflies.  Ironically enough, I choose butterflies but ended up not enjoying myself at all!  Jaden had a good time running around and looking at the butterflies so mommy and daddy were happy that at least one of us enjoyed this outing!

We also got to see Niagara Falls for mine and Jaden's first time!  It was a little iced over which was neat to see!  Mommy said that we can go biking there when it gets warmer!

Before we left to go back home, we went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.   This place was great!  Lots of noise, animated animals and even fish!

All in all, our little trip to Canada was fun but we certainly won't push to go back to the butterfly place!

 



Carter's 1st Birthday!!

It seems like just yesterday, our little playmate, mommy's godson was born.  This weekend we celebrated hi 1st birthday!  Mommy and daddy say that he is the happiest baby they have ever seen-just takes everything in and goes with the flow...Mr. Smiley!  He had a mickey theme which Jaden just loved.  He went around pointing to all the mickey's in the room!  Jaden and I are still a bit shy in new environments but when mommy had Carter in her arms, we were loving trying to get his attention.  Auntie Nicole even let me help open gifts!

Tidbits

Last weekend we celebrated grandma and grandpa Christie's birthdays with some lunch and cupcakes/cake.  I even helped mommy make the cupcakes!  Baking with mommy is one of my favorite things to do! 



Jaden loves playing with the doors; open and close, open and close.  Then he gets nose prints all over the glass :)

 

 

Jaden's favorite thing to do right now besides climbing or throwing is to vacuum!  Since I love playing with my babies, cleaning and cooking and Jaden loves to vacuum...we do imitate so it must be that mommy does way too much of that kind of stuff!

 

Mommy and I baked some Valentine's Day cookies for everyone the other day.  We even frosted them together!  I love getting my stool, bringing it into the kitchen and helping!  Mommy says that I'm such a good girl and such a special little helper!  I take it very seriously too!

 

 

Strong Museum Playtime

This was Jaden's first trip to the Strong Museum!  I have been there a couple times but Jaden has always been too little.  It was a cold, wintry day so what else is there to do but have some play time inside!
Jaden was amazed by all the activities, stimulation and people!  He just watched everything!  I get a bit overwhelmed by the stimulation but love learning new things!  Mommy says that she always knows when I'm out of my comfort zone because I bite my nails all the time!
Our favorites today were the Bernstein Bears playhouse slide, the Lego area and of course the baby dolls!  There is so much to see that we didn't even make it to the 2nd floor!
